We just witnessed a shove fest at all the tables and now that the moment has settled, all the short stacks survived. Here are the results.
Hisashi Tamura all in with K-Q and was doubled up by Taehoon Han with A-Q. The board ran K-3-7-2-4.
Scott Janik all in with Q-7 and spiked a lady on the river to overcome Andy Li Xueyan’s pocket fives.
Shigeho Yoshioka woke up with J-J and Genki Nakano couldn’t put him away with his 3-3.
Jinwoo Kim is a dangerous man at the felt and his tablemates are feeling his prowess having just eliminated Hisashi Ogi. He won another sizable pot, this time against Masashi Shibata with his K♥ Q♥ flush on a board of 7♥ 7♣ 6♥ 10♥ Q♠. He earned another 160k to bring his stack to 1.25M. Needless to say, he is crushing the felt right now.
Jinwoo Kim has just crossed over the million mark and he did it by eliminating a past APT Main Event champion, Hisashi Ogi. Before Ogi was sent out in 25th place, both of these players had a previous meeting with Kim shoving Ogi for a pot amounting to 180k and a board showing 2♠ 10♦ 4♠ 6♠. Ogi folded.

Iori Yogo went all in again not just once, but twice, that makes it four in total without getting called. While he picked up the blinds and antes, he also claimed much more after shipping in all of Kwok Luen Kwan’s chips.
Kwan K♠ J♠
Yogo 10♣ 10♥
The board drew blanks and Kwan was out in 26th place. He earned KRW 1,970,000. Yogo now up to 220k.
Another player has bumped up his stack significantly, Yuichi Sumida earned a double up against Yuki Ko to bring his stack to 645k. The action kicked off with Ko raising to 15k, Paphawin Laodee calling, then Sumida with a three-bet to 82k. Ko silently deliberated then moved all in. Laodee folded and Sumida quickly called for his tournament life.
Sumida Q♠ Q♣
Ko J♥ J♦
The board ran 2♣ 8♥ 6♦ 7♣ 3♣ and with no help to Ko, Sumida shipped it.
Iori Yogo has picked up some chips but just the blinds and antes. He shoved twice but found no callers. He is now up to 115k.
We’ve got the first double up of the day with Paphawin Laodee moving all in with J♥ J♦ and getting matched up by Takato Ariake with A♦ Q♥. The flop was a scare for Laodee as it ran 4♥ 6♥ 8♥ giving Ariake the higher flush draw but with the next two cards 8♣ and 5♦, he was safe from elimination and doubled up to 246k.
Yoichi Uesugi got involved in the first two pots at his table. On the first hand, Taehoon Han raised to 12k then he re-raised it up to 34k. Han called and the flop ran 4♠ Q♥ 3♠. Han checked, Uesugi continued with a 44k bet, Han called. On the J♠ turn both checked but on the A♥ river, Han led out for 100k and won it with Uesugi folding up.
Useugi may have lost 79k of his stack to Han but he did pick up some on the next hand. He limped in and it was a three way limped pot with the blinds. At the flop of 3♠ 10♥ 6♥, the blinds checked, Uesugi bet 15k, and got one caller. On the A♠ turn no bets came, but on the K♠ river, Uesugi sent out 30k which was enough to win the small pile in the middle.
On just the second hand of the day, the first casualty of the day arrived. Shunsuke Tsujii got it all in with Q-Q and was called by Kitauchi Yoshihoro with K-K. When the flop spread Q♠ J♥ 5♦, Tsujii looked like he was headed for a lucky double up, however, the turn A♠ and river 10♦ changed the spread and Yoshihoro completed a straight. He is the first one to the cage in 27th place. He earned KRW 1,970,000 for his finish.
