Iori Yogo is clearly the leader at his table with over 300k in chips. He was looking to take in more against Yee Eun Yul but instead, lost the 50/50 side of the odds.

Arisa Oshiro lives on, doubles up through Naoki Morita

Level: 11 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

Arisa Oshiro moved all in with her ailing short stack and Naoki Morita gave her some action.

The flop felted 7 A 5 and Oshiro seemed dismayed getting up from her seat. The turn Q changed nothing for her but with the river 4, she overtook with three-of-a-kind and doubled up to starting stack.

Update

We are about to start a new level. There are 70 players remaining.

Aya Kagawa earns some off Noda Hiroyuki

Level: 10 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Aya Kagawa has been giving the boys at her table a tough time. Having won a pot against Choong Kian Weng several hands prior, she went up against Noda Hiroyuki in this hand, and taking command the entire leg.

On a three-way raised pot preflop, the board came 2 10 4, the sb player checked, Hiroyuki bet 3200 then Kagawa raised to 7500. The sb folded while Hiroyuki called. On the A turn, Hiroyuki checked to the aggressor Kagawa who continued with a 8400 bet. Hiroyuki called.

On the 9 river, Hiroyuki checked once more, Kagawa was relentless and fired out 20k, and won the pot with a fold from her sole opponent.

Split pot for Albert Paik and Ken Yagura

Level: 10 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

On a board of 9 10 4 Q 7, Albert Paik tanked for some time until the clock was called on him by one of the players. Paik was up against Ken Yagura who made a pot bet of 32.4K which we can only deduce there was lots of betting action in the previous rounds. On the last two seconds of the count, Paik tossed in the call and they turned over their cards. Both players had A-A and laughed while splitting the pot.

No love for Abram, hit by Yam Chun

Level: 10 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Abram went head-to-head with Yam Chun Ho Edward with both players turning up the same cards… or maybe not….

Abram A Q
Yam A Q

The board sprouted many black clovers sending Abram out with no love.

Scott Janik rails Soh Yan Dathyronne

Level: 10 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Scott Janik is now sitting with around 300k. He eliminated Soh Yan Dathyronne with 8-8 over 7-7. He is definitely one of the chip leaders at the moment.

Tyler Tan tells the tale…

Level: 10 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

Tyler Tan may be decorated with a side event trophy at the festival but he will not be adding the Main Event title to his achievements. Tan was railed here in level 10 and he was kind enough to share the bullet point details of his bust out.

Tan had Q-Q, his opponent had 6-4, and the board was 8-9-5-4-6. He told us that the all in was on the turn and said, “that’s poker!”

Choong Kian Weng dropping

Level: 10 Blinds: 800-1600 Ante: 200

The day’s entering second chip leader, Choong Kian Weng has just dropped but not out. He is still in the field with slightly above average in chips. He lost a pot to Aya Kagawa with his K-Q over A-J on a board of 5-4-7-5-J then lost a small one immediately after to Andy Li Xueyan. He now has around 140k.
