Paphawin Laodee was successful with two double ups but his stack still remained far below the average. Not posing much of a threat, he was all in with 78k and faced Kitauchi Yoshihiro once again.
Laodee A♠ 10♥
Yoshihiro Q♣ Q♥
The board offered no joy for Laodee and he fell in 20th place. He earned KRW 1,970,000 for his finish.
Kitauchi Yoshihiro now up to 465k.
Another two short stacks survived the heat at their table. Kazuto Sato moved all in with K♥ 2♥ and Jinwoo Kim gave him some action with his A♥ 8♣. The board ran 3♥ 2♣ 8♥ A♦ 7♥ for a winning flush and 460k. Also at the same table was Genki Nakano who doubled up through Shigeho Yoshioka to climb to 410k.
Masashi Shibata was on a roller coaster of a ride today with his stack drastically going up and down. He finally was grounded in 21st place against Jinwoo Kim with 3-3 not good enough against the leader’s K-J with a board spreading Q-J-7-10-J.
Shibata earned KRW 1,970,000 for his finish in 21st place.
Jinwoo Kim increased to 1.4m.
Not long after Bi Qiang was eliminated, another player at that table came tumbling down and out with Tang Jia getting the boot from Naoki Morita. The hand started off with a raise by Jia to 20k then called the re-raise to 65k by Morita. At the flop of K♣ 6♥ 2♥, Morita bet 80k, Jia jammed it all, and Morita was unphased and called.
Jia J♣ J♠
Morita Q♥ Q♠
The 9♣ and 7♠ turn and river were no help to Jia and with less chips, he was eliminated in 22nd place. He earned the KRW 1,970,000 prize for his finish.
Another player has been sent out in this round with Yam chun Ho Edward as the next casualty. He had A♥ 8♦ and was facing Shigeho Yoshioka’s K♣ J♦. Although he was ahead preflop, the board felted 4♣ 10♠ Q♠ 9♠ Q♣ for a winning straight to Yoshioka.
Yam earned the KRW 1,970,000 cash prize for his finish in 23rd place.
Paphawin Laodee three-bet all in with a very short 83k and initial raiser Kitauchi Yoshihiro called.
Laodee A♦ K♦
Yoshihiro J♦ 9♦
The cards ran K♠ J♣ Q♥ 5♣ 7♣ and he fist pumped double up to 182k. Yoshihiro dropped to 250k.
We’re not exactly sure how Bi Qiang lost a majority of his starting day big stack to drop low and get railed. What we do know is how he busted out. He was all in with 8-8 and Kimiharu Nakamura had K-K. No miracles came on the board and Qiang was out in 24th. He earned KRW 1,970,000 for his finish.
Scott Janik just boosted his stack with another double up in a cooler against Yuki Ko. The hand started with a raise to 18k by Kitauchi Yoshihiro, three-bet to 48k by Ko, and Janik moving all in whit his 187k stack. Initial raiser opted to fold but Ko tossed in the call to put Janik at risk. When the hands were revealed, Janik had the nuts A♣ A♥ and Ko with the second nuts K♥ K♣. The board bricked and Janik climbed to 390k.
Masashi Shibata took a big hit to his stack just hands prior against commander Jinwoo Kim. With his ailing stack, he entered a three-way all in shebang and could be heard across the room celebrating his exciting triple up.
Masashi Shibata 8♥ 8♦
Shigeho Yoshioka Q♦ Q♣
Jinwoo Kim 6♥ 6♦
The board ran 7♥ 2♠ 9♥ 9♣ 8♠ for a set to Shibata and the side pot to Yoshioka. Shibata now up to 420k and Yoshioka at 175k.
