Jinwoo Kim was on a roll earlier, chunking down his tablemates. His flurry of wins has slowed as we saw him lose a couple of pots to bring his stack down to 1M. But that’s not exactly small with the average stack still far below. Getting some capital off Kim was Naoki Morita and Hisashi Tamura. Both are still below average stack.
We are now at 12 players remaining and with it came Kimihura Nakamura on the rise. He won two pots back-to-back to bring his stack to 840k. We caught the action of the first pot with a board showing K♦ 4♥ 4♠. Nakamura and Kitauchi Yoshihiro checked and the turn felted K♣. Yoshihiro bet 200k, Nakamura moved all in, and won the pot when Yoshihiro folded.
The next hand Nakamura was up against Yuichi Sumida. Nakamura raised to 40k and Sumida called. On the flop of 3♠ 10♦ J♥, both checked and the turn fell 3♦. Sumida led for 48k, got raised to 200k. Nakamura won it with Sumida folding up.
Takato Ariake was the next casualty of the Main Event going all in with A-3 but running into Andy Li Xueyan’s A-K. Ariake earned KRW 2,780,000 for his finish.
Xueyan grew to 1.2M in chips.
Kazuto Sato pushed all in with his 286k and Taehoon Han joined him with his shorter stack.
Sato A♦ 9♦
Han 10♣ 10♥
The board ran 7♦ 10♥ A♣ 8♦ 4♦ for a winning nut flush to Sato and the elimination of Han in 14th place. Han earned KRW 2,780,000 for his finish.
Sato up to 480k.
Yoichi Uesugi moved all in with his short stack and got called by Naoki Morita. Uesugi had K-4 that could not overtake Morita’s 7-7. Uesugi out in 15th place for a KRW 2,780,000 payout.
Taehoon Han and Shigeho Yoshioka engaged in a hand that saw a 22k raise preflop. On the flop of 10♠ 2♣ 4♣, Han continued and sent out 24k, Yoshioka called. On the 10♦ turn, both checked. Then on the J♦ river, Han bet 42k which Yoshioka once again matched up.
Han 7♠ 6♠
Yoshioka 7♣ 7♦
Yoshioka exposed Han’s bluff and shipped in a good pot for his good call.
Genki Nakano has left the Main Event in 16th place after getting booted by Albert Paik. It began with Paik bumping it up to 25k then Nakano moving all in with 247k. With a big stack backing him up, enough to call Nakano, Paik called.
Nakano K♦ 6♦
Paik K♠ Q♥
The board ran dry and Paik shipped in all the chips. He now has 900k. Nakano earned KRW 2,330,000 for his finish.
Kimihura Nakamura put his entire tournament lifeline on A♥ K♦ and was up against Taehoon Han with A♠ 7♣. When the flop ran 3♣ 7♥ 10♥, Nakamura stood up getting ready to split the scene. But with the 5♥ turn and Q♥ river appearing next, he happily sat back down, shipping in a double up with his nut flush. Nakamura now over 400k.
Once in a while those wild and crazy hands make landfall and we are always glad to have seen the action to report it all back to the reading public. The hand began with Shimooka Yoichiro raising to 26k, Iori Yogo on the small blind and Albert Paik on the big blind both called.
此役Shimooka Yoichiro加注至两万六,Iori Yogo以及Albert Paik在盲位跟进;
On the flop of 5♠ 9♦ 8♦, action was checked to Yoichiro who sent out 42k. Yoogo called while Paik bowed out. On the turn Q♣, both players checked for a free look at the river 5♦. This is when the fireworks occurred with Yogo betting 175k followed by an all in by Yoichiro. Yogo snap-called.
翻牌圈 5♠ 9♦ 8♦,Yoichiro下注四万二,Yogo跟进,Paik弃牌,转牌 Q♣,双方过牌,河牌 5♦.落定,Yogo下注175k,Yoichiro all in, Yogo闪跟
Yoichiro 8♣ 8♥
Yogo Q♥ Q♠
Taking a look at the hands it was a full house over a higher full house and with Yoichiro on the lower end of both the spread and the stacks, he was eliminated in 17th place. He earned KRW 2,330,00 for his finish.
Yoichiro不幸命中低位满堂红,最终坐定第十七名,收获奖金 KRW 2,330,00
Yogo has climbed to 865k in chips and is now well out of the red. Nice comeback from a very short stack entering Day 3.
Yogo筹码增至865k,成功逆袭。
