Level: 18 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 1000

Yonnas Wolde Jamren was all in with his short stack and didn’t even bother looking at his hand. He was called by two players. At the flop 2 5 6, a side pot was generated with Nguyen Hoang Anh betting 24k which was called. On the 3 turn, Nguyen bet 20k and got the call once more. The river J produced no bets and Nguyen won the side pot with his 9 6 over A K. The main pot however went to Jamren who turned over 3 J for two pair.

Level: 18 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 1000

We missed the early action but we did catch the tail end with Charalampos Lappas betting 90k onto a 210k pot and a board of 10 6 5 3 3. Weimer check-called but only after he tanked for some time. Lappas opened K 10 and Weimer mucked.

Nasty fall on the bubble for Adrian Yeap

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 1000

Adrian Yeap is the unfortunate bubble player after a crazy board sent him to the rail at the hands of Okruzhnoy Alexander. Action began with everyone folding to the button Alexander. He moved all in with his massive stack, got a fold from the small blind, but big blind Yeap called for his tournament life. This surprised Alexander as he sheepishly turned over 6 4. Yeap had K K.

Then all the sick drama ensued. The flop came 7 J 7 and Yeap was safe. On the 8 turn, Alexander picked up a gutshot draw. When the 5 landed on the river, the crowd erupted as Alexander completed a straight to eliminate Yeap.

Luckily for Yeap, he was protected on the bubble which means he will receive a consolation prize equivalent to one Main Event seat in APT credits.

Bubble round: John Phan tanks to Noah Weimer’s shove

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 1000

From 187 players down to We caught 112, that means we have reached the bubble stage. Intense action took place at table 14 with Noah Weimer up against John Phan. The hand kicked off with a raise by Weimer to 18k and Phan called. On the flop 3 J 9, Weimer continued and fired out a 22k bet, Phan raised to 52k, and Weimer responded with a shove. This sent Phan tanking for quite some time that a crowd had gathered. Phan eventually folded while showing A J top pair.

We spoke to Phan a bit later and he said Weimer had aces.

Aivaras Bardauskas errs and gets crippled by Tran Uy Thanh

Level: 16 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 1000

From the utg+1 seat, Tran Uy Thanh moved all in for his last 67k. Everyone folded to the small blind Aivaras Bardauskas who tossed the one chip call all in but his intent was to call the big blind. Due to his error, he was forced to call Thanh’s all in. Thanh had pocket tens and Bardauskas with 8-4. With no magic for Bardauskas on the board, Thanh doubled up while Bardauskas was crippled down. He busted out a few hands after.
