There is no doubt at the moment, Michael Soyza is the chip leader with his stack close to 350k while the nearest competitors sit below the 200k range. To help bring his stack to those heights, he won back-to-back pots against Wei Guoliang, the day’s entering chip leader.
The first one was quite hefty with around 103k in the middle and a full community board of 3♣ 4♦ 2♦ 7♦ K♦. Soyza gave Wei’s stack a look then announced all in. Wei didn’t waste much time to decide and folded.
The next hand Wei raised to 2900 and Soyza defended on the big blind. At the flop 7♠ 10♣ 5♠, both players checked. On the 2♥ turn, Soyza bet 4500 and Wei called. On the Q♣ river, both slowed back to a check-check and Soyza won it with 10♥ 9♠ pair.
