Kim fires for value with 6,000 and got Erzincanli to call.
Bad news sir, Kim showed pocket fives for the set and Erzincanli mucked his hand. Kim now has about 35,000.
Three way action between Linh Tran, Mustafa Erzincanli and Henrik Tollefsen.
Tran opened the betting with 550 preflop, Erzincanli flatted while Tollefsen made it 1,800. Both Tran and Erzincanli called.
Flop: 6♠ 3♥ 9♠
Tollefsen continued his story after checks from both opponents. Tran folded while Erzincanli stayed in the hand.
Turn: 3♣
Tollefsen was adamant, firing a third barrel of 6,500– just too much for Erzincanli, who tanked and folded his hand.
Andrew Gaw bet 625 on a raised pot with the dealer already boarding 2♥ 7♠ J♣ 10♦. From across him, an opponent re-raised to 1,500 to send Gaw to the tank. Gaw called to bring the river K♦. Gaw checked, the opponent took another stab at the pot with 2,500 and again, Gaw thought for a bit before making the call.
Gaw tabled pocket aces and was ahead of the opponent’s 10♦ 8♦.
Michael Falcon just suffered one of the worst beats for Day 1B.
It all started nicely with Ho Bao Qiang raising 700 preflop. Michael Falcon made it 1,600 and got a call from Jason Powers. When action went back to Qiang, he three-bet shove all of his 22,700. Falcon called and Powers folded.

Falcon was way ahead, and according to the guys directly left (John Tech) and right of him both had eights.

Safe for a Falcon right?!
Wrong! As the river 8♠ arrived giving Qiang the pair and crippling Falcon, who dropped to about 6,000. Qiang climbs to roughly 46,000.
The dealer already boarded Q♠ 7♦ 9♦ J♦ and Wayne Zhang check-called an opponent’s 2,800 bet. On the river 6♣, Zhang check-called the opponent again, this time for 5,800. Zhang shows 10♦ 8♣ for the turned straight and the opponent mucked his hand. Zhang has now around 35,000.
With a 15,000 pot and the board 4♣ 8♥ 9♦ 10♠ 4♥, Alex Lee shoved his final 12,000 after Henrik Tollefsen bet 5,800. The two-time APT ME champion spent a good five minutes in the tank before finally making the call.

Both got the straight and splits this big pot.
In the previous level, Kim Enriquez survived a showdown and doubled-up to about 30 big blinds. He added some more in his most recent hand, this time with a triple-up.
On a flop of 10♣ Q♥ 8♣, Jake Nguyen bet 325 after a mid-position player checked. Next to act, Enriquez shoved his final 3,475 and got calls from both Nguyen and the MP player.
On the turn 2♠, the mid-position player fired 6,000 and forced the fold from Nguyen and isolate the at-risk Enriquez.

Enriquez needed to avoid any clubs, king, nine or ace and he did when the river 2♦ was dealt. Enriquez is back with a more manageable stack on this one climbing to nearly 14,000.
Before the second 10-minute break of Day 1B, Jae Chang held A♥ K♣ on a board of J♣ 6♠ J♠ K♦ with a 3,500 pot. He check-called a mid-position player’s 2,000 bet on the turn and then bet 4,500 on the river 6♣. The MP player tanked for a bit but eventually made the call showing the Big Slick as well. Split pot for Chang and his opponent.
The poker gods don’t want Tommy Strom to bust out just yet in Day 1B.
In previous hand, with just about 2,000, he tripled up by winning a hand with just queen-high. Recently, he doubled up with 3♥ 3♠ against an opponent’s A♥ 9♥ and the board blanked K♣ 5♠ K♥ 2♠ 4♦.
Strom has now over 8,000.
