SJ Kim’s hopes for a Main Event title was crushed in a crazy board against Weiyi Zhang. Kim moved all in with his remaining 500k and Zhang quickly called. Kim had A♥ 5♣ and needed to improve against Zhang’s 9♥ 9♠ to avoid elimination. When the board flopped A♠ 5♦ 5♥, the floor erupted as Kim greatly improved to a full house taking the monster lead. But it wasn’t over yet because the next card turned a 9♣ giving Zhang the higher full house. With the river felting a 2♦, Kim was eliminated in 4th place and pads his pocket a nice cash prize of PHP1,019,400.
此回合SJ Kim以手牌 A♥ 5♣在翻牌前All In-50万,Zhang Weiyi即刻以手牌 9♥ 9♠跟注,翻牌 A♠ 5♦ 5♥送给SJ Kim满堂红但是转牌 9♣ 带给Zhang Weiyi 9♥ 9♠ 9♣ 5♦ 5♥,河牌 2♦出现后宣告Kim的淘汰,他最终拿下第四名,奖金PHP1,019,400.
SJ Kim tangled in a pot against Weiyi Zhang that began with him raising to 110k and Zhang calling. At the flop of 6♦ 6♣ 2♣, Zhang checked, Kim laid out a continuation bet of 125k, Zhang called. On the turn of 7♦, Zhang checked again, Kim may have sensed weakness and bet 225k but was responded with an all in from Zhang. Kim folded and the chips were shipped to Zhang.
Yah Loon picked up a decent pot in a hand against Weiyi Zhang. Zhang initiated the action with a raise to 100k and Loon called. At the flop of 6♦ 4♠ 7♠, Loon checked, Zhang bet 110k, Loon check-raised to 410k, and took it down with a fold from Zhang.
Blinds are up again and that seemed to be a good cue for SJ Kim. Kim shoved his chips four times and got no one to dance with him until several hands later when he jammed again on top of Weiyi Zhang’s 100k bet and was called. Zhang had 10♦ 10♠ and Kim had Q♦ J♠. The river was kind to Kim as it ran 8♠ 9♥ 2♣ 5♠ J♦. Kim doubled up and is just under a million chips.
Weiyi Zhang is definitely giving his table mates a rough ride at the final table. Whether he wins or loses a pot, he is back in it almost immediately. In one hand, Zhang and Yah Loon called an 85k raise by SJ Kim and saw a board land 2♥ Q♠ 6♣. Loon and Zhang checked to the raiser who slid out 110k and getting a call by Zhang. At the turn of 3♥, Zhang checked again, Kim continued with a 160k bet, and Zhang jammed with an all in. Kim folded.
Just before the next break, it was a similar situation with Zhang checking a board of 6♦ 9♣ 3♥ awaiting Jun Javalera’s action. Javalera laid out a massive bet of 400k, but Zhang was not concerned and check-raised Javalera with an all in of 2.14m chips. Javalera couldn’t do it.
No big chip exchanges have been witnessed in some time, mostly it has been Weiyi Zhang and Jun Javalera fighting it out for every small pot in the middle. Both have won their fair share, but in this hand, Javalera edged with a bigger pot shipped in. On the button, Zhang limped, SJ Kim called on the small blind, Javalera raised an additional 80k, Zhang pumped up the pot to make it 280k total, and after Kim folded, Javalera called. At the flop of 2♠ A♥ 10♥, Javalera jumped the pot with a 400k bet. Zhang folded and Javalera claimed a much heftier pile.
The tides certainly have changed with Jun Javalera now in control of the final four. Having just won a couple of good pots, he continued his run in a hand against Yah Loon. Javalera limped in then called a 110k raise by Loon. At the flop of J♣ 6♣ 8♠, Javalera bet 200k, and Loon gave it up for another pot headed in Javalera’s direction.
Next two hands would also go to Javalera. He three-bet Weiyi Zhang and won. He three-bet SJ Kim and won. Both of his opponents folded.
Jun Javalera continued to challenge Weiyi Zhang for pots and in this hand he was once again successful. From the button, Javalera raised to 130k and big blind Zhang called. At the flop of A♣ 6♣ 5♠, both players checked. The turn of Q♠ initiated some action with Zhang betting 100k, a raise of 700k from Javalera’s section, then a fold by Zhang to give Javalera another good pot.
Four handed has seen Weiyi Zhang pretty much dominating the table but like Yah Loon, Jun Javalera wanted to put a stop to it. Both Loon and Javalera called Zhang’s pre flop raise of 80k and saw a board of 3♠ 10♠ 5♣. Javalera took first action with a 60k bet, Loon folded, and Zhang engaged. At the turn of Q♥, Javalera bet 60k, Zhang matched. On the river of A♦, it was no different. Javalera bet 60k again, Zhang called, and Javalera won with A♥ 2♦ top pair.
