Valantiejus Can’t Crack Gorman’s Aces

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

Martynas Valantiejus opened to 6,000 and got re-raised by Nicholas Gorman to 17,000. Valantiejus called.

Flop: 3 10 9

Gorman opened this time, to 15,000 and Valantiejus called.

Turn: 6

Gorman check-calls Valantiejus’ 150,000 and Gorman was all-in for his final 80,000.

Valantiejus: Q 8
Gorman: A A

No straight for Valantiejus on the river 2 and he drops down to 240,000. Gorman climbs to 220,000.


Tech Pulls Off Bluff Late

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

On a raised pot on the board 5 8 8 J J, John Tech shoved on the river with a stack worth roughly 90,000. Tech’s opponent, Min Soo Kim tanked for a long time, even flashed his Q before making the fold.

Tech shows him 7 7 and Soo Kim could only shake his head. Tech jumps to over 160,000.


Uy’s Ajax Good for a Double-Up

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

Fernan Uy ( A J) shoved his final 27,000 and Zhang Weiji 7 7 isolated the action by moving all of his 104,000 to the middle.

Everyone folded to bring the flop J 3 3– giving the advantage to the short-stacked Uy. Turn K and river 9 was safe for Uy, who doubles up to over 55,000.


Tran Busts Chong (马来西亚选手Victor Chong的败北)

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

Not much details here except that both Linh Tran and Victor Chong were both all-in before the flop.

Chong busts out of the main event and Tran climbs to roughly 270,000. We’re down to 53 players.

Valantiejus’ Flush Busts One

Just before the final break and final level today, Martynas Valantiejus busted out an opponent holding K 9 in a board where he turned a flush. Looks like he’s taken leadership overall for Day 2 with nearly 400,000.


Chong Doubles

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Tan Chong opened to 6,500 and got re-raised by Herbert Baum to 17,000. Chong moved all-in for a total of 41,200. Baum called.

Chong: J J
Baum: A Q

Flop 3 9 10, turn 4 and river K is safe for Chong, who doubles up to about 85,000.


Yum Slips on Big Slick

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Claudia Yum moved all-in for his final 30,000 with 6 6. She got a caller in Hieu Le, who held A K.

Le immediately grabbed the lead on the flop K 4 4 and never relinquished it on the turn 3 and river 10.

Hieu Le has now around 100,000 while Yum is out of the main event.


Paulsen’s Ducks Oust Funabashi

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

With a large-sized pot of over 30,000 and a board of 2 5 8 8, Jun Funabashi checked his option and saw Kai Paulsen bet 12,500. Daniel Lim wanted a bigger one and raised to 30,500. Action went back to Funabashi, who shoved his final 80,000! Paulsen shoved (100K) shoved as well and Lim folded.

Funabashi: 8 6

River 3 landed and busted out Funabashi. Paulsen has now over 240,000.
