Starting Saturday, May 14 until Sunday, May 22, the APT will be back at the APT Poker Room located in Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino for another nine days of poker festivities featuring a P55,000 entry Main Event plus 19 side events to choose from. One unique aspect of the APT Experience Manila is that it begins and ends on a weekend. This means that all you weekend warriors can take part in the highly popular side events running on the weekends, beginning with the Welcome Event P1,000,000 Guaranteed, and still enjoy a night out in the bustling cities of Manila, Makati, BGC, or Pasay. For those who are new to the country, not only are these cities nearby, but they also boast of some of the best nightlife and dining in the Southeast Asian region.
In addition to the Welcome Event, the usual APT side event suspects are also on the roster such as the Pot Limit Omaha High Rollers event, the Battle of the Nations, and the Ante Up for Charity. These side events are scheduled to run on the second day of the festival, Sunday, May 15, 2016.
When the work week begins, Monday, May 16, 2016 it is back to the poker felt grind where lots of heads will be rolling at the Head Hunter Event. We suggest you bring out your best ammo because for every head delivered, you collect a P4,000 bounty. The Ladies of Poker and the High Roller Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shooutout (12 max) will also be gracing the felt on this day.
Day 1a of the Main Event gets underway on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 with the fifth APT Championship Ring up for grabs. There will be satellites in the days leading up to the Main Event so if you don’t have a seat yet and would like to shoot for one at a lower cost, then satellites are your possible ticket in. Day 1b takes place the next day, and is the final flight to qualify into Day 2.
In addition to the Main Event day 1s, the APT will have a couple of side events on the roster such as the Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout (24 max), the No Limit Hold ‘em 1 day event, and the first of five Deep Stack Turbo events.
From Thursday, May 19, 2016 until the end of the festival on Sunday, May 22, 2016, all you weekend warriors better get ready for more action with another 9 APT side events to enjoy including a newcomer, the Ante Only event with a P16,500 entry fee.
