Final Day 1 Flight of the Main Event Starts at 1pm

Good morning and welcome to Day 1B of the APT Poker Weekend Series Manila Main Event! This is the last of the day 1 flights which starts at 1pm sharp at the Casino Filipino, Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel. Buy-in is PHP27,500. Late registration is available until the end of level 6. There will also be a one hour dinner break starting at 6:45pm. We will also be posting some of the action at the Main Event, so head on over to the Live Reporting section to see who’s heating up the felt.

Recap of Day 1a Main Event
Yesterday’s Day 1a saw 27 players out of 73 entries make the cut into Day 2. Calvin Tan from Singapore ended the day with a massive stack of 197,700 chips. Running second-in-chips, and is the only other player to cross the six-digit chip mark with Tan, is fellow countryman Alex Lee, who ended the day with 133,800 chips.

Other Events
At the No Limit Hold ‘em (Event 3), Brian McAllister defeated Mike Takayama during the heads up round to earn the first place cash prize of PHP180,300 plus the tournament trophy.
