The APT Poker Finale 2015 Main Event day 1a begins today at the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Casino Filipino. Buy-in for this event is P50,000. Players start with a 20k starting stack and the blinds escalate every hour. Late registration is available until the end of 8 levels. The past few days has seen around 15 players win their ticket to the Main Event via Super Satellites and Mega Satellites. If you are still looking to get in at a lower cost, there will be a Last Chance Main Event Mega Satellite at 6pm tonight. Buy-in is P5,500 and one seat is awarded for every ten players registered.
Running alongside the Main Event will be the seventh side event of the series, the Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout 36 max at 3pm. This has a P16,500 buy-in fee. The APT Finale 2015 is scheduled to run from December 9-17, 2015 with a total of 18 side events slated throughout the festival dates. Seven trophies have already been awarded with the biggest cash prize going to Germany’s Sebastian Benz who won the record-breaking Welcome Event 1M Guaranteed.
There is also a heated race ongoing for the APT Player of the Year 2015 title with APT triple crown champion Samad Razavi looking to capture his fourth title in a row. Last night Razavi cashed at the Head Hunter even, extending his lead against second-ranked player Iori Yogo from Japan. Both players are expected to play the Main Event.
