Over a half runners of the original 207 entries survived play after three starting days in the APT Asian Poker Series Cebu 2015 Main Event. 105 players are returning to the All In Poker Sports Club in Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu City, Philippines for Day 2 of the main event
All will be gunning for a spot to the money round, or 27th place, and stay in contention for the first major Asian Poker Tour (APT) title of the year worth PHP 2,307,300. The total prize pool was set at PHP 9,236,300.
Entering Day 2, Singapore’s Zhou Hongming, who hauled in 141,125 in chips, is then runaway chip leader being the only one above the 100K mark. He’ll be challenged by other other players who had great Day 1s; the Philippines’ Jay Lubas (99,000), Kim Michael Enriquez (91,300) and Christopher Runas (80,525); plus Day 1A leader Anyang Xu (85,275) of China and Fred Romeo (83,500) of the United States.
Other notables and APT regulars who are still in contention are Lester Edoc (Philippines) with 65,325, Azusa Maeda (Japan) with 58,500, John Tech (Philippines) with 57,500, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa (Japan) with 54,800, Jay Tolon (Philippines) with 57,500, Yu Kurita (Japan) with 50,875, Bryan Huang (Singapore) with 49,750, Simba (Korea) with 50,050, Gordon Black (Korea) with 47,700, Sam Razavi (United Kingdom) with 47,025, Kevin Ang (Malaysia) with 42,275, Kai Paulsen (Norway) with 38,450 and Norbert Koh (Singapore) with 37,300 among others.
Meanwhile, three side event winners were decided Sunday. Lester Edoc (Philippines) won the NLHE 1 event for PHP 386,600; Ken Clark (England) took down the Pot Limit Omaha title for PHP 163,900; and Jae Kyung Sim (Korea) ruled the MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack event for PHP 165,000.
