Familiar faces and a few unknowns dominated Day 1B of the APT Asian Poker Series Cebu 2015 Main Event at the All In Poker Sports Club in Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu City, Philippines. Leading the pack is unheralded Korean Lim Jin Wook with 58,550 in chips and he’s joined by three popular pros— John Tech (Philippines) with 57,500, Simba (Korea) with 50,050 and Bryan Huang (Singapore) with 49,750 atop the chip rankings in the second starting day of the highlight tournament of the first Asian Poker Tour (APT) stop this year.
After 28 qualified from Friday’s Day 1A, 29 survivors from Day 1B followed suit to up the total qualifiers for Day 2 to 57 players. More will join them after Day 1C scheduled on Sunday (February 1st). All the qualifiers from the three different starting days will return for Day 2 set on Monday (February 2nd).
While the first four have roughly over or roughly 50K in chips a slew others are within striking distance with a eight other players having over 42,00—- a mark of how balanced the chip distribution was after eight levels of play. This includes Robert Browning (Philippines) with 48.550, Gordon Black (Korea) with 47,700, Christian Haggart (Canada) with 47,050 and three-time APT Player of the Year Sam Razavi (United Kingdom) with 47,025.
Other notable pros who advanced to the next round are Kai Paulsen (Norway) with 38,450, Martin Gonzales (Philippines) with 31,400, Ryan Yu (Canada) with 28,900, Jun Saito (Japan) with 22,300, Kimmo Soronen (Finland) with 14,400 and Iori Yogo (Japan), the shortest stack with 6,750.

Overall, Chinese Anyang Xu, who topped Day 1A with 85,275 is still the overall chip leader. Eight others from Day 1A also have a better haul than the Day 1B chip leader.
