APT Sponsors Upcoming AJPC 10th Year Anniversary

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is pleased to announce its support for the upcoming 10th year anniversary of the All Japan Poker Championship (AJPC). Every year since 2007, the AJPC has produced the biggest live poker event in Japan with thousands of players attending the AJPC satellites. This year, well over 500 players are expected to qualify via those satellites.

Joining in the celebration, the APT will be sponsoring fifteen APT prizes to be used towards the APT Philippines Golden Week 2017. This APT poker festival falls during Japan’s Golden Week holiday and it will be the biggest APT event held next year. The festival is scheduled to run for twelve days from April 26th – May 7th at Resorts World Manila in Newport City, Philippines.

Adding to the massive cash prizes awarded by the AJPC, ranging from 50,000 Yen to 1,000,000 Yen, the top nine AJPC Main Event finishers will be receiving various APT prizes. The winner will claim a seat to the US$ 1,100 APT Philippines Golden Week Main Event while 2nd-9th place will receive an entry seat to the APT Philippines Golden Week Opening Event. The top three finishers of the Ladies event and Seniors event will also receive an entry seat to the Opening Event on top of their winnings.

The AJPC has already started holding satellites to qualify into their scheduled events: the Main Event, Ladies, Senior, and Junior events. Players must qualify via those satellites to obtain a seat into any of those events. It is open to all nationalities. For those who qualify, the events will take place on September 24-25, 2016 at the Yokohama World Porters in Yokohama, Japan, with the final table held on October 22-23, 2016 at Harajyuku abema Studio.
