The APT Finale 2018 scheduled for Macau from 27 November to 8 December will now be staged in Manila, Philippines 27 November to 6 December 2018.
Making the announcement Jeff Mann, Chief Executive Officer of the Asian Poker Tour said that whilst unfortunate the decision to move the event was in the best interest of players.
“In August we had to cancel our scheduled event in Macau due to circumstances beyond either APT’s or our local partner’s control. We did not wish this to happen again given that some confirmations for the event including exact dates were outstanding. The fact is our Finale is becoming very popular with players from around the world and already some are requesting confirmed details so that they can make plans for the end of the year,” stated Mann.
Poker players are no strangers to Resorts World Manila: APT has staged 20 international poker events over the past 8 years and has an agreement with RWM to organise at least two events per year until the end of the decade.
“Whilst we are a little disappointed not to be going back to Macau this year after the success of our last event earlier this year, for sure we will be returning to Macau with at least two events in 2019. Equally, we are delighted to stage our 2018 year-end event at RWM which will be re-assuring for our players and ensure the success of our very popular Finale,” Mann added.
The APT Finale Philippines 2018 will be held from November 27 to December 6 2018 at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City Philippines.
