The second day of the APT Asian Series Cambodia 2014 opened with the US$ 110 NLH Multiple Rebuy and Add-On tournament at the Queenco Casino & Hotel at Victory Beach, Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
Russia’s Aliaksiandr Yushkevich outlasted the rest of the field to take home the trophy and the lion’s share of the prize pool amounting to close to US$ 10,000. Not only was this Aliaksandr’s first APT trophy, it actually was the first time he joined an APT event.
Later in the day, the US$ 2,500 High Rollers saw a prize pool of over US$ 55,000 from the 25 player entries. Seen on the felt were high stakes poker regular David Steicke; World Gaming Magazine’s Andrew Scott and Michael Mariakis; recent APT champion Hun Sokmeng; Japan’s Iori Yogo and back-to-back APT POY Sam Razavi. Linh Tran was also in the field hoping to repeat his win in the same event held two years ago also in Cambodia.
The APT action continues tomorrow with the popular US$220 Head Hunter at 1:00 PM and a pair of satellites to the main event at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively. Please make sure to go the APT Asian Series Cambodia 2014 Events Schedule for the full details of the event.
