The latest Main Event champion is New Caledonia’s Andre Moracchini who captured the victory at the recently concluded APT Noumea 2017. The defending champion is local player Alexis Lim, winner of the APT Manila 2016 Main Event.
Main Event Bubble Protection
We’d like to remind everyone that the Main Event Bubble Protection is in effect. For players new to the bubble protection, this is one incentive you will want to take full advantage of. Players that have qualified for the protection will essentially be insured during the bubble round. In the event that a protected player falls as the bubble, then that player will receive a consolation prize of one free seat to the next APT Main Event of the same value or the equivalent in APT tournament credits.
Here are three simple steps to be eligible for bubble protection:
- Pre-register for the Main Event
- Draw for your seat before the 1pm starting time
- Have your chips put into play on the first deal of round 1
*Important reminders: Players that qualify for bubble protection will maintain that status on a same day re-entry only. Players wanting bubble protection on a next day re-entry will have to repeat the qualification steps.
