The Final Eight has Begun! Record Breaking Entries for the WLS Deep Stack Turbo Event

Shufflle up and Deal! Cards in the air for the Final Eight of the APT Asian Series Manila 2014. Good luck to all the players!

WLS Deep Stack Turbo Champion, Ben Loo

In the side events yesterday, a record number of 254 entries and a prizepool ballooning to over P1.2M, the WeLoveSport.com Deep Stack Turbo event ran until the witching hour of 3am, and in the end it was Ben Loo who shipped in all the chips after defeating Joven Huerto at the heads up stage. Loo took home the P307,500 top cash prize.

Heads Up Champion, Lin Xiao Gang

The Heads Up 64 max event ended with Lin Xiao Gang defeating Kai Paulsen to claim the P372,000 first prize cash purse. Prior to facing Paulsen, Gang went up against Gavin Smith in the semi-final round and took a large chunk of Smith’s chips with his A-5 landing trips on a board of 8-4-5-5-K. Smith also had trips with his J-5 but Gang had the higher kicker. During the final round, Gang’s J-7 ran trips on a board showing J-J-5-6-K against Paulsen with Q-9.
