The second day of action at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau poker festival witnessed another three side event title winners in the form of US pro Nam Le, China’s Wu Bo and Katsuhiro Motu from Japan. Le’s well-earned victory came in the HKD 100,000 buy-in PokerAce High Rollers while Bo won the HKD 4,400 buy-in Head Hunter event and Moto took down the HKD 1,000 Chairyt Event.
It was Le’s first APT title win after having come close on a previous occasion at APT Macau in 2009 when he finished second in the High Roller side event. Yesterday it was in a field of 21 players that included Joe Hachem, Oliver Spiedel, Winfred Yu, Conrad Coetzer and Tom Hall.
Le won at heads up against Nicholas Wong after calling his short-stacked opponent’s K♥ 10♦ shove with A♣ 9♥. The dealer tabled A♠ 6♥ 7♣ A♥ 5? to give Le trip aces and the HKD 841,000 title.

In the Head Hunter event, 103 players created a total prize pool of HKD 352,300. Among those seated at the tables were Raiden Kan, Sparrow Cheung, Justin Chan, Gordon Huntly, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa and Samad Razavi.
The final duel saw Wu Bo rail Liam Anderson when both players got all their money in on a flop of 6♦ 9♣ 7♣. Bo’s K♠ 9♦ top pair was up against Anderson’s Q♥ 8♣ straight draw. With the turn J♠ and river 3♠ Bo’s hand held up and gave him a HKD 119,700 victory.
