Monster Stack GTD prize pool doubled as 207 entries storm event, 2-day KRW4M HR registration still open

INCHEON CITY, Korea – The two flights of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Korea Incheon 2022 (Event #18) Monster Stack once again followed the trend of seeing the original guaranteed prize pool shattered as 207 entries into this event favorite has now upped it to KRW140,553,000 (US$98,607) in the final day of competition at the Paradise City Hotel and Casino here.

During hostilities in Flight A, the guaranteed was already eclipsed as early as the halfway mark of that session which eventually logged 169 entries. By the time the smoke cleared from Flight B’s “Turbo” session, 38 more entries were added and the original KRW70M (US$49,087) was officially blown into smithereens.

54 runners remain in the tiff and are nineteen eliminations away from ITM status wherein which all who are still in it will be guaranteed KRW1,063,000 (US$738).

The champion of this event, however, will be taking home KRW30,474,000 (US$21,363).   

Sitting atop the leaderboard after the two flights combined is Australia’s Jason Lee with 258,500 in holdings.

The Melbourne native has one live title when he played in Taiwan in 2019, but has been rewarded for his online grinds with six cashes in the WSOP online circuit. 

Following Lee is APT Taiwan 2022 Main Event runner-up Fang Po Wen with 249,500 while Jun Matani of Japan is in third with 245,000

Action resumes later (26th October) at 1:00PM (UCT+9).

Meanwhile, (Event #17) the 2-day KRW4M (US$2,771) High-Rollers will also have its finale today with registration still open for the the level of its resumption.

There were 25 registrants yesterday and that number is expected to grow before cards fly also at 1:00PM. 

The final two events also commence here with (Event #19) the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo and (Event #20) at 2:00PM and the fifth and last of the KRW3M (US$2,103) High-Rollers at 3:00PM.
