Le Ngoc Khanh is now one of the chip leaders after knocking out Kelvin Jung just before the break. It was a four-way min-raised pot preflop the saw 3 K 9 flop. Action was checked to Vanness Kim who bet 16k. SB Jung called, bb  Tran San Thach folded, mid-position Khanh raised to 40k, Kim folded, and Jung flatted. On the J turn, Jung checked, Khanh shoved his big stack, and snap-call by Jung risking his tournament life.

The river A completed the board and Jung filed out while Khanh amassed 570k. 


Oeystein Nordii wins a pot against Paul Hong

Catching the action only on a full board 10 2 7 4 3 and a big splashy pot already brewed in the middle, Oeystein Nordii bet 75k sending Paul Hong tanking. Hong eventually folded. 


Han Tae Hoon railed by Gao Lichho

Level: 14 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Han Tae Hoon took his last stand sending his short stack in the middle with 7 7 and was called by Gao Lichho with Q Q. The board bricked to end Han’s run well before the money. 


Hoang Adi Thien takes some from Han Tae Hoon

At the earlier round, Han Tae Hoon was down in the gutter with a very short stack. Though we missed his comeback, backed by a healthy stack now, we did catch his recent hand that saw him drop once again, this time against Hoang Adi Thien.

Hoang raised to 10k and Han called from the big blind. At the flop 7 J 4, Han checked, Hoang bet 15k, Han raised to 38.5k, and Hoang called. On the 2 turn, Han checked, Hoang bet 43k, and this time Han folded. 

 


Duong Nguyen outdraws Kwok Ting Shum

Kwok Ting Shum was all in with A-Q and had Duong Nguyen’s A-J dominated but with the board slapping a jack on the river, Nguyen celebrated while Kwok packed up. 


Kit Kwan Kwok doubles up through Thanh Ho

One of the APT major title-holders, Kit Kwan Kwok earned himself much needed double up in a hand against Tommy Thanh Ho. The hand began with a raise by Tommy to 7k, called by Kit on the small blind. At the flop 5 J 7, Tommy bet and Kit check-called. On the 9 turn, Kit checked, Tommy bet 16k, Kit shoved his remaining 61k, and got the call.

The river 2 offered no help to Tommy and Kit doubled up. 


Tran Uy Thanh climbing

Thong Trinh has been moved a couple of times today but at every table he visits he seems to be collecting. Now at Table 4, he was in a hand that saw a flop 3 Q 6. He led for 7k and Tran Uy Thanh called. On the A turn, both checked. Then the river 2 saw bets come with Tran laying out 7.5k. Thong called. Thong won with J 10 higher flush against Tran’s 4 4

Heated action preflop led to two players in a showdown. It began with Tran Son Thach raising it up to 9k. Macaron Tan three-bet to 22.5k. Tran four-bet to 59k. Macaron tanked then shoved when time was called. Tran called.

John Paredes burns three
