Bubble Time: Players chipping up

Bubble time has only seen one called shove with Cao Ngoc Anh doubling up his short stack through nemesis Ngo Trung Hieu. What we have been witnessing are players chipping up, two in particular, Ta Duy Quoc Chinh and Oliver Helm.

Chinh crossed into a million chips after winning a hand against Joseph Talamayan. It began with a 5-way limped pot, the flop ran 9 9 10. Utg+1 Talamayan bet 10k and only Chinh called. On the A turn, Talamayan checked, Chinh bet 30k, called by Talamayan. The river 5 saw Talamayan check again, Chinh fired 90k, Talamayan folded. Chinh at 1.042M.

At a separate table, Oliver Helm is up to 900k. He won a big pot against Tung Nguyen with A 6 hitting three-of-a-kind sixes. He won a second pot by shoving on Bobby Zhu Xinghua on the river board K A 7 A 4. Bobby folded.


Three-way showdown: Lim Chor Heng skyrockets to 1.23M

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

Lim Chor Heng’s attacks have just awarded him a massive pot and the chip lead. With 95k already brewed preflop, the cards came J 10 2, Lim bet 38k, Cao Ngoc Anh called, sb Sumit Sapra check-shoved, bb folded, Lim all in for 484k, back to Cao Ngoc who tanked. He used two time banks then found the guts to call for a three-way showdown.

The turn 9 kept Cao Ngoc ahead but the river K gave Lim the flush he needed to ship it. Sapra out, Cao Ngoc down to 187k. Lim up to 1.23M.

Richard Marquez drops, Binh Minh soars to 530k

Richard Marquez has fallen out of the running. He currently leads the APT Player of the Series race however he will not be adding any points from this event. Marquez raised to 21k from utg+1, Binh Minh called. On the flop J 2 Q, Marquez c-bet 60k, flat-called by Binh. On the turn 3, another 70k from Marquez,  Binh called. On the river 9, Marquez bet 90k, Binh shoved (152k), Marquez called with around 70k behind. Marquez had Q Q set but Binh had better K 10 straight on the river.

Marquez down to 8k, he busted on the next hand. Binh rose to 530k.


Ngo Trung Hieu gets back at Cao Ngoc Anh

With 130k pot brewed, the flop was 9 2 7. Sb Ngo Trung Hieu was up against bb Cao Ngoc Anh again. Ngo checked, Cao Ngoc bet 60k, Ngo shoved his 223k stack, Cao Ngoc folded.


Quang Nguyen eliminated by Lim Chor Heng

Lim Chor Heng continues to light up the table with bets and raises. He has now been credited with the first bust of the day. Quang Nguyen shoved with K J and Lim called with Q 9. The board ran Q 7 6 J 2. Quang eliminated.


Cao Ngoc Anh in action

Cao Ngoc Anh entered the day as second chip leader with 699,000. he has now grown to over 750k. Like in Day 2, he is back and attacking the felt. Catching the action on a big pot, a board 2 Q 6 8 and 110k pot, Ngo Trung Hieu checked, Cao Ngoc bet 55k, called by Ngo. On the river K, check by Ngo, 200k bet by Cao Ngoc, Ngo tanked and used two time banks of 60-minutes each then folded. He also won the next hand against Sumit Sapra for a pot of over 100k.


A pot for Lim Chor Heng

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

After a couple of attempts, Lim Chor Heng picked up a pot. He raised to 20k, got called by cutoff Quang Nguyen and bb Sumit Sapra. At the flop 9 J 3, all checked. The turn 7 saw Lim bet 28k, Quang called, Sapra check-folded. On the river A, both checked, Lim had K J nut flush to take the pot.


Ta Duy Quoc Chinh with higher kicker

Lim Chor Heng has been initiating the early action at table 2 but cant seem to pick up the pot. He lost an earlier one to Tran Huy Hoang and now another to Ta Duy Quoc Chinh. The board completed to A 7 Q 8 3 Lim bet 95k, Quang Nguyen folded, Chinh called. Lim A 9 behind Chinh’s A 10. LIm dropped to 280k, Chinh up to 660k.


Tran Huy Hoang picks up first good pot

Utg+1 Tran Huy Hoang raised to 18k, button Lim Chor Heng three-bet to 51k, Tran called. On the flop A 3 10, both checked and the turn came 8. Tran checked, Lim bet 40k, Tran raised to 115k, Lim folded. Tran up to 493k. Lim dropped to 455k.
