Pham Bao raised preflop and got a caller in sb Lauren May Watts to see the flop land 6 7 8. Watts quickly jammed her short stack and Pham wasted no time calling. Watts opened J J but was far behind Pham’s 10 9 straight. The turn 6 and river 3 didn’t help Watts to send her packing. Pham up to 150k.

Oliver Helm rails one

The series Main Event 3rd placer, Oliver Helm, has been on the upwards grind. He picked up another good pot by shipping all of Jeffrey Lo Kuen Wai’s stack. It was A K dominating A Q on a board that ran 2 K 4 4 4. Helm up to 370k.


Nguyen Nam Duong vs Sumit Sapra

Pot of 32.5k in the middle, the flop landed K 7 9. Sumit Sapra checked, Nguyen Nam Duong bet 15k, called by Sapra. On the turn 3, both checked and the river felted Q. Sapra checked, Nguyen bet 28.5k, Sapra folded. Sapra dipped to 285k, Nguyen rose to 258k.


Bobby Zhuo Xinghua bets every street

Catching the heated action on table 1 with Bobby Zhuo Xinghua and Ta Duy Quoc Chinh staring down a board Q A K. Small blind Bobby fired 16.5k, Chinh called. On the turn 6, another 22.5k from Bobby, called by Chinh. The river 5, Bobby shoved, this time no call from Chinh. Bobby claimed it and now sits with 175k.


David Erquiaga rails Tobias Napel

Another all in preflop war that led to shoves. David Erquiaga shipped it with A A over Tobias Napel A K on a dry board. Erquiaga up to 420k.


Je Hun Hong ships it; Zhou Jiaping crippled

Preflop raise war led to a 175k pot in the middle and a flop A 5 9. Je Hun Hong was all in for {132.5k), Zhou Jiaping tanked. Zhou eventually called.

Binh Minh next to take from Talamayan

Joseph Talamayan entered with an incredibly huge stack but doesn’t seem to having much success with it just yet. He lost another pot, this time to Binh Minh. On a board 8 A K 10 and over 50k in the pot, Talamayan laid out a 25k bet, Minh check-raised to 75k, Talamayan folded. Talamayan down to 300k, Minh up to 220k.


Vamerdino Magsakay survives the sweat

We missed the betting action before the shoves but from what we saw Vamerdino Magsakay was celebrating his 5 5 holding against Dung Huynh’s A K on a board of J 8 2 10 6. According to Quang Nguyen who was initially in the hand, he had pocket jacks on the small blind and ended up folding on heavy preflop raises. Magsakay up to 250k, Huynh down to 40k.
