Glancing over at table 3, Nguyen Duc Bien had amassed 320k. We missed the hands that got him there but he told us he knocked out two players in separate hands.


Three-way goes to Hwang Seong Il, nearing 500k

Hwang Seong Il was moved to a new table where he continued to crack some heads. In a three-way showdown one player with 10 10, another with Q Q, and Hwang big stacked Hwang with A Q. The board ran clean until the river 6 9 9 3 A. Hwang shipped it as two shipped out. Hwang nears 500k.


Vincent Chauve shaves some off Mudgal

From mid-position, Dhaval Mudgal raised to 7k and big blind Vincent Chauve defended. At the flop 7 7 3, Chauve check-called a 6k bet. No bets on the turn K and the river felted 5. Chauve bet 25k, Mudgal tanked then raised to 87k, Chauve quickly called. Mudgal opened A J air, Chauve won it with 2 3 flush. Mudgal dropped to 195k, Chauve up to 445k.


Yang Peng calls to his doom; Akshay Nasa banks it

Akshay Nasa started the day as one of the shortest stacks with only 13.1k and is now running strong with 60 bigs of around 180k. His latest scoop was against Yang Peng who opened with a 7500 raise. Nasa three-bet jammed, sending the action back to Peng who said “I open, you raise?” Then banged all his chips out front for the call.

Big stack battle: Choi Eng Loong vs Ashish Munot

The two big stacks at table 5 had a go at a pot. A raised pot was built preflop and the board was 5 5 6. Sb Ashish Munot check-called bb Choi Eng Loong’s 7k bet. No bets on the 9 turn but on the river 10 Munot fired 36k, Choi folded.


Wei Hsun Chen happy for the double up through Zinmo Kim

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 2400

Utg+2 Wei Hsun Chen raised to 5500, Meherzad Munsaf called, cutoff Zinmo Kim three-bet, called by both Chen and Munsaf. At the flop 9 8 5, action was checked to Kim, he fired 21k, Chen raised to 50k, Munsaf folded, Kim tanked. Time was eventually called and just before the last second, Kim shoved, Chen snap-called and happily showed the nuts.
