Choi Eng Loong is back on attack mode and may have just taken over the chip lead with 655k. The hand that sent him there saw three players in on a raised pot preflop. The flop ran 4♦ K♠ 4♥, utg Jaesh Balachandran checked, hijack Choi bet 35.5k, cutoff Taeho Lee raised to 71k, Balachandran folded. On the turn 10♦, both players checked. On the river 2♣, Choi bet 120.5k, Lee called. Choi showed 10♠ 9♠, Lee mucked. Lee down to 165k.
On a turn board 9♥ J♠ 4♦ 2♥, bb Vincent Chauve check-raised to 48k, button Nguyen Thi Bao An three-bet to 100k, Chauve called. On the 8♦ river, no bets from either. Chauve showed J♦ 4♣ two pair. Nguyen mucked. Nguyen down to 213k, Chauve up to 470k.
Opening hand at table 2 and quickly the entering chip leader Sofia Lovgren sent Huy Coshet to his doom to ship in another 70k to her massive stack. Following that hand, she doubled up Sim Jae Kyung aka Simba.
From the button, Lovgren raised to 14k, bb Simba tanked and used two time banks before calling. At the flop K♣ A♦ 10♣, Simba jammed and Lovgren snap-called. Lovgren showed A♣ J♣, Simba A♠ Q♦, the turn 4♠ and river 2♠ kept Simba ahead for a double up to around 80k. Lovgren still way ahead with 625k.
At a separate table, David Luong also sent one packing – Ho Gyun Kang – on the first hand. He added another 71k to his stack to climb to 350k.
And we are off! Day 3 has begun! The final 52 players will hunt down the money starting at 44th place then further on to a final 8 seat. Current chip leader is Sweden’s Sofia Lovgren with 567,000 in chips.
