Nikita Luther has dropped to 1.2M which is about average stack. She lost two consecutive pots to Minh Le. The first pot we caught with the board showing 8♠ 8♥ 10♠ 7♣ J♦. She bet 175k and Minh called. Luther had Q♣ J♥ pair while Minh had Q♦ 9♦ straight.
The next hand she raised to 75k preflop and Minh called. At the flop 2♥ 3♠, Luther bet 110k, Minh raised to 350k, and Luther called. On the 8♠ turn and 4♥ river, no bets by either and Minh won with A-A over 9-9.
We lost Mak Wai Cheong in 23rd place. Following that, Chi Chung Ho busted at the same table. Ho fell at the hands of Tetsuya Tsuchikawa. The all ins were on the turn with Tsuchikawa holding Q-Q and Ho with J-J. Tsuchikawa up to 1.25M.
Next out was Min Dan. She was all in with A♥ 10♦ and Nguyen Phu Danh was ahead with A♦ Q♦. The board ran 9♠ 3♣ 6♥ 4♣ A♣. Danh now over 2M and looks to be running second in chips to Teoh Ming Hong.
Dang Toan Nguyen was the second biggest stack at the break but upon his return, the first hand sent him spiraling down then out on the next hand. In reverse, Teoh Ming Hong zoomed to 3.5M and is now the overwhelming chip leader. We caught the heavy action on a turn board 9♥ 8♥ K♠ 2♥, Teoh with a bet in front, Dang raised it, Teoh jammed, and Dang said “I can’t fold this”.
Teoh K♥ K♣ top set
Dang 8♠ 8♥ second set
The river 5♠ completed the board for a massive double up to Teoh. Dang dropped to 15k and Teoh took that as well on the next hand.
