Even stacks

Level: 23 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Several hands have been claimed by Aik Chuan and Mitsuru Sano bringing all three players to about even stacks. They are now discussing a possible deal.

Final 3 players and chip counts

After several more pots moving around the felt, we have reached the next break. There are 3 players remaining. Here are the chip counts:

Liu Yi 519k
Mitsuru Sano 393k
Aik Chuan 338k

Mitsuru Sano takes some back from LIu Yi

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Mitsuru Sano is back up at average stack after recouping some of his lost chips from Liu Yi. The hand saw a raised pot preflop and a board of 3 10 4. Yi bet 40k, Sano raised to 95k, and Yi called. On the 7 turn, Yi checked, Sano all in for 148k, and Yi folded.

Sano now at 415k which means for the first time Aik Chuan is the shortest stack of the bunch with over 300k while Yi leads with over 500k.

Liu Yi shoves

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Mitsuru Sano raised to 25k on the button, sb Aik Chuan three-bet to 100k, then bb Liu Yi shoved. Both players folded.

Lucky spike for Liu Yi, avoids elimination

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Big action double up sent Liu Yi back to the chip leader’s seat. He raised to 30k Mitsuru Sana moved all in and had Yi covered. Yi eventually called for a showdown.

Yi 7 7
San 9 9

Though Sano was ahead, the flop came A 7 4 improving Yi to three-of-a kind. The 5 turn and 6 river didn’t help Sano. Yi now up to 520k. Sano fell to 160k.

Aik Chuan takes more from Liu Yi

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Liu Yi can’t seem to hold on to the chips he won from Aik Chuan earlier, instead it has been creeping its way back into Chuan’s section. Chuan already reclaimed the lead from Yi and earned more in this hand.

On a flop of 3 K 5, Chuan check-called Yi’s 25k bet. On the A turn, Chuan checked, Yi bet 55k, then Chaun raised all in. Yi folded.

Aik Chuan back on top

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

And just like that, Aik Chuan has reclaimed the chip lead. Despite Liu Yi’s rise, his moment at the top was very brief. One of the hands that helped Chuan was up against both players and a raised pot brewed preflop. The spread came 5 J K, action was checked to Chuan on the button and he banged out 50k. He was check-called by both opponents and the turn landed 9. Action was check around and the 9 river fell.  It was checked to Chuan again and he bet 110k. He won with no callers.

Chuan up to 570k.

Mitsuru Sano grinds

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Mitsuru Sano may be the shortest stack but he is well in the game, raising pots and winning his fair share. He has climbed up to 380k and is nearing average stack of 417k.
