Mariakis won the hand while sending one to the rail at the same time.
Christian Haggart opened to 1,600 pre-flop but saw William Te make it 4,500. Haggart called to bring the flop 8♦ A♠ K♦, which was checked by both players.
The turn J♦ arrived and after a bit of consideration, Haggart fired a big amount of chips. No count needed as Te folded his hand showing the pair of queens to everyone on the table.
Kicking off the hand with a raise to 1700 preflop, Katsuhiro Moto found himself three callers to join party. At the flop of 4♥ A♠ 4♠, everyone checked to each other. At the turn card of Q♥, niceties were out the door. Sb player Martin Gonzales checked, bb player bet 2600, Moto called from the utg seat, and the mp player folded as did Gonzales. With just Moto and the bb player left, the dealer felted a 9♠ river card which was checked by the bb. Moto chose to bet out 6000 and was happy to get a call from the bb player. Moto won the pot with his A♦ A♥ full house.
Against a fellow Japanese on a board of 9♥ 9♠ 6♦ 2♣ 7♣, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa fired 4,000 that put his opponent to the tank. After much thought, he folded to give Tet the nice pot late in the day.
Marc Rivera faced off in a hand where he three-bet to 4500 and was called by the utg initial raiser. At the flop of K♦ 3♠ A♥, both players checked their option and saw an A♦ land on fourth street. At this point, the utg player decided to lead the betting and slid out 4000 worth of chips. Rivera called. Then on the river of 5♣, utg checked to Rivera who went all in with his 18K chips behind. The utg player seemed a bit surprised but couldn’t make the call.
Whoody Jeremias shoved his final chips worth just under 4,000 or so on a board of 8♣ 5♣ 6♠ J♣ and Michael Mariakis had a friendly chat with him before making the call.

Jeremias needed a clubs to survive and the river 3♥ cooperated which means he stays in the main event running albeit with a stack of just around 10,000.
In a raised pot, Christian Haggart and Florencio Campomanes checked a flop of 9♠ K♥ 10♦ to bring the turn 4♠. Haggart checked again but Campomanes bet 5,200. Haggart stared at Campomanes for a good two minutes before raising it to 15,000. Campomanes folded his hand.
Kwak Jin Hyeom of Korea had pocket kings and he had zero problem putting all of his chips to the middle with it. Up against an opponent’s A♥ 5♥, he felt good about his chances doubling up big.
Right off the bat, he could smell trouble with the flop showing 8♥ 10♦ J♥. The turn 3♦ wasn’t harmful but the river 3♥ did the damage– fatal enough to bust out Jin Hyeom.
