Koh denies Ishihara the pot

Action began with Kodai Ishihara raising to 10500 and was called by three players, Norbert Koh in mid position, Eric Sia in late position, and Sim Jae Kyung on the bb seat. At the flop of Q 8 10, bb player Simba checked to Ishihara who sent out a continuation bet of 20K. Acting next was Koh who pumped up the bet to make it a total of 58K to go. Sia and Simba folded and after tanking, so did Ishihara.

 


Nee climbs back to 100K

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 500

Sam Nee doubles up with an all in shove preflop and finding a caller in Chung Faz Ngeow.

Nee showed 8 8 vs Ngeow’s A Q. With a running board of 4 2 9 10 5, Nee’s pocket pair holds up and he scoops up a nice pile of chips and climbs over 100K.

Kiat doubles up through Yasuyuki

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Lee Wai Kiat picked up a nice double up against Tsuji Yasuyuki and is now up to around 100K chips.

Kiat won with K Q on a board that felted 3-4-9-10-J giving him a straight. We were unable to catch Yasuyuki’s hand nor the action prior to the shipping.


Connelly ousts Haggart

Takayama eliminates Steicke with quads

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 300

Mike Takayama is the overwhelming chip leader at his table and further improved his stack in this gorgeous hand.
Takayama raised to 6000 preflop then called an all in by David Steicke from the sb seat.

Takayama: 10 10
Steicke: A K

Board: Q 10 10 8 Q

Takayama landed quads and Steicke out of the game. Takayama now over 320K chips.

Shortly after, Takayama claimed a few more pots and has now crossed the 400K chip mark.


Ong Jun Yang Survives, Get Some Off Koh

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

Ong Jun Yang’s A 7 hit trips on a board of 8 6 7 9 7 and the Singaporean doubles up off compatriot Norbert Koh. Jun Yang climbs to roughly 160,000 but Koh remains as our chip leader today.


Mariakis losing chips

Michael Mariakis cant seem to catch a break. He has been active at his table but has been losing pots and/or doubling up the short stacks. He now sits with 80K.


Tran escalates care of Nee

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

Linh Tran seems to be enjoying his transfer to a new table because after his double up, he won a huge pot against big-stacked Sam Nee. We didn’t catch the action until the river board with 10 4 3 8 7 showing and Tran with a 45K bet in front him. Nee tanked for a while then folded. Tran escalated to approximately 270K chips. as Nee fell to 58K.
