HomeAPT Vietnam’s Main Event champion Kwan Kit Kwok recently won a hand against Gerard Bringley which started off with Kwok limp-calling a 300 bet. At the flop of K♦ 7♥ 2♠, both players checked. At the turn of 8♦, Kwok laid out a 350 bet and was called by Bringley. Then on the river of 6♥, they both checked and Kwok showed his 3♣ 3♥. Bringley mucked.
Sam Razavi was in need of a double up with just 3325 in his arsenal. He found that opportunity in a hand that began with him raising to 3300, leaving himself 25 behind. He was called by a player in the hijack seat and they were heads up. At the flop of 6♠ 6♦ 10♦, they both checked. At the turn of 8♣, Razavi dumped in his remaining 25 chip which hj called. At the showdown,

HJ: A♣ 5♥
With the river landing 8♥, Razavi bagged a double up with trips.
Three-way action began with Johnson Tan raising to 350, getting called by Michael Falcon and Rick Lera. At the flop of 5♥ 5♦ 3♣, they all checked. At the turn of K♣, they all checked again. Then on the river of Q♥, they still checked. Falcon won with his Q♦ 4♦.
Peter Kleudgen getting a bit of action. He raised to 225 and was called by two players. At the flop of K♠ K♣ Q♥, bb player and Kleudgen checked to the button who bet 250. The bb folded and Kleudgen called. At the turn of 10♠, Kleudgen checked again, button bet 300, Kleudgen raised to 850, and button called. Then on the river of 10♦, they both checked and Kleudgen won with his A♠ J♦ straight.
On a turn board showing K♣ 10♥ Q♠ A♣, sb player Gerard Bringley bet 450 and was called by Jae Chang. At the river of 3♦, Bringley bet 650 and Chang flat-called. Bringley won with his J♦ 9♠ straight.
Another big hand gets beat. In our previous post, Gerard Bringley’s aces were cracked, now its kings. In a hand that we caught at the flop of Q♥ J♠ 6♥, Sam Razavi checked, utg bet 800, Tony Chang called, and Razavi did as well. At the turn of 4♠, Razavi checked again, utg bet 2800, Chang called, and Razavi got out of the way. On the river of Q♦, utg slowed down to a check but Chang had other things in mind and bet 5,500. He was called and at the showdown, Chang revealed his K♣ Q♣ trips besting K♦ K♥.
Looking down at aces always makes a player feel good but when it gets cracked, well, ouch. Gerard Bringley was the receiver of such a hand. He started with a limp, saw John Costiniano raised to 250 which was called by the bb player, and when it went back to Bringley he chose to pump it up to 850. Costiniano called and bb folded.
Flop: 8♠ K♠ 10♣, Bringley started with a 1,175 bet, Costiniano called.
Turn: J♠, Bringley checked, Costiniano bet 2,200, and Bringley flat-called.
River: 4♥, Bringley checked again and Costiniano followed suit.
Costiniano won with his K♥ J♥ cracking Bringley’s A♠ A♣.
Amelian Ye won with her J♣ J♦ on a board that ran K♣ 10♥ 9♦ J♠ 2♣. With a pot already at 2,300 Ye led out for 1700 and got a call to earn herself a sizable pot after her opponent mucked.
Action at Daron Ang’s table with utg raising to 200 and finding three callers to see a flop land 9♠ 2♥ 7♥. From the bb seat, Ang checked to the raiser who bet 400 which had two players folding but a call from Ang. At the turn of 6♠, Ang checked again, utg bet 700, and Ang called. At the river of A♣, both Ang checked, utg opted to do the same, and Ang won with his K♠ 9♦ after utg mucked.
