Georges Chehade went all in and seeing that he had him way covered, Jester Intia called for over 25K chips. Chehade had A♣ A♠ and Intia had 8♥ 6♠. The board ran 6♥ 2♠ J♠ 2♣ 7♥ giving Chehade the much needed double up.
The two of them met in another pot that had around 55K in the middle and a full board of J♥ K♥ 4♠[3s} 3♥. Chehade checked to Intia who tanked for a while then opted to check as well. Chehade showed his 2♥ 2♣ that was good enough against Intia’s A♠ 5♠. Chehade commented that he would have called with his bottom pair if Intia bet.
At a quick glance at the nearest table, Gerald Casey caught a lucky river card to steal a pot away from Georges Chehade with trips. The board was 6-5-6-7-3. Chehade had A-6 off suit versus Casey’s pocket fours.
Battle of the blinds saw two players watch the flop land 7♥ 4♠ 5♥. Acting first was Lim Yah Loon who checked to Sam Razavi. Razavi threw in two orange chips for a 10K bet and Loon called. At the turn of Q♠, Loon checked again then called Razavi’s 24K bet. Then on the river of 5♣, Loon checked to Razavi but this time could not match the all in bet.. Razavi took down the pot and showed his 10-5 for trips.
Catching the action at the flop of 8♥ 6♣ 7♣, action was checked to Angeles who bet 8K to the checker in the small blind who moved all in for over 50K. Angeles called and it was a showdown. Angeles had 6♥ 6♦ for a set against sb’s 8♦ 9♦ top pair. With the turn of K♥ and river of 2♣, Angeles won the pot and railed one in the process.
With action folding all around the table, Benjie Lim limped in from the small blind and Erick Marzan raised it up to 5500. Lim called. At the flop of K♠ J♥ 6♣, Lim checked to Marzan who slid out 7K only to be re-popped to 14K. Marzan called and the turn landed 2♥. Lim led for 20K and with that , Marzan folded.
In a four-way unraised pot, the board ran 6♦ 3♣ 4♦. Action was at Gerard Bringley who bet 6500, Trifie Montebon called, Kim Enriquez shoved with 8500, one player folded, and both Bringley and Montebon called. At the turn of A♠, Bringley and Montebon checked. Then on the river of Q♥, they did the same. Enriquez had 7♥ 10♦ that was not good enough against Bringley’s 10♣ 4♥ small pair. Enriquez was out.
Brian McAllister put a stop to Jester Intia’s chip collecting when he shoved with J♦ J♥ and was called by Intia with A♥ 8♦. With the board running K♣ J♣ 10♥ 4♦ A♦, McAllister doubled up with trips.
Jester Intia raised to 7500 from the button and big blind player Calvin Tan called. At the flop of 3♠ 7♠ 9♥, Tan checked to Intia who bet out 11K. Tan called. At the turn of 2♠, Tan acted as before and checked to Intia who laid out 16,500. Tan check-called again. Then on the river of 5♥, Tan still checked and Intia continued to bet. He laid out a 48K bet, a little over half of Tan’s chips. Tan tanked for some time the eventually folded.
Ferly Cabaling took a stand with all her chips on a full board of 5♦ 5♣ 3♠ 8♠ J♦. Action was with the big blind player who checked to Cabaling. She bet 7K only to be answered with a 21,500 raise. Cabaling was not going anywhere as she pushed with her remaining 62K chips. She won the pot as the bb folded.
