Alquiros check-raises for the pot

Level: 7 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

On a board showing 9 4 7, JR Alquiros bet 1,200 and found himself with two players to tango with, Gerard Bringley and Norbert Koh. On the turn of 3, Alquiros checked to Bringley who bet 2,800. Koh folded and Alquiros check-raised all in. Bringley opted to fold and Alquiros took down the pot.


Tran boots two simultaneously

Board: A J 3 6 7

Tran wins and scoops up a hefty pile in the middle while two players head out of the tournament area.

 


Angeles rails one with his cowboys

Level: 7 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

Antonio Angeles pumps up his stack a little more after railing a short stack. During the hand, Jay Tolon raised to 800, short stack moved all in with 6,150, Angeles called, and Tolon folded. Angeles was ahead with his K K versus pocket queens. With the board running blanks, Angeles won the pot and railed a player in the process


Railed- sick bad beat for Mooney

Level: 6 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

Having just re-entered, Geoffrey Mooney entered a pot that saw five callers to Jester Intia’s raise to 750. At the flop of 7 9 10, Intia continued and sent out 1,650. Mooney raised it up to 3,500, everyone folded except for Intia who announced all in. Mooney snap-called and it was a showdown. Intia had K K overpair and Mooney 10 9 top two pair. Although Mooney was quite ahead, with the turn of Q and river of Q, Intia landed a sick higher two pair and booted Mooney out of the Main Event.


Phua rails Mooney

Level: 6 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

Geoffrey Mooney moved all in for 4,100 on top of Si Yang Phua’s initial raise of 650. Phua called. At the showdown, Mooney had A K and Phua had J 9. With the board running 2 J 7 9 7, Phua won with his two pair and railed Mooney in the process.


Marzan wins some from Koh

Level: 6 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

Erick Marzan began the betting round with a raise to 850. He was called by Norbert Koh and they both went to see a board land 10 7 8. Koh checked to Marzan who bet 1,100. Koh called. On the turn of 6, action switched roles as Koh led out for 2,400 and Mazan called. Then on the river of A, both checked and Koh’s J 5 was no good against Marzan’s A[ad}.


Nakagawa smooth-calls for a higher pair

Level: 6 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

With five players in a limped pot, the board ran 5 5 7. John Tech initiated the betting round with a 600 drop which Hajime Nakagawa called while the others folded. At the turn of 6, Tech continued to bet and laid out 1,100 which Nakagawa smooth-called again. Then on the river of 9, Tech bet a small 200 and Nakagawa once again matched it. Tech showed 10 7 which was good at the flop but not with Nakagawa’s A 9 that found a higher pair on the river.


Bringley railed by Marzan

Level: 5 Blinds: 100-200 Ante: 25

Catching the action on a turn board showing J Q 9 K, Erick Marzan moved all in with easily over 20,000 chips. With around 18,000 behind, Bringley made the call for his tournament life and it was a showdown. Marzan showed his 3 8 flush and before the dealer exposed the river card, Bringley mucked and packed to leave.


Cerna’s cowboy earn chips through Chehadeh

Level: 5 Blinds: 100-200 Ante: 25

On a board showing 10 2 6, Emelito Dela Cerna bet 2,450 and was called by George Chehadeh. At the turn of 7, Cerna continued and sent out 4,050. Chehadeh called. On the river of Q, Cerna kept the pace and laid out 6.050. Chehadeh called. Cerna won the pot with his K K. Chehadeh mucked.
