Ortanez eliminates Labadan

Renato Labadan saw his final hand of the Main Event when he was all in against Christian Ortanez. Labadan had pocket sevens but was way behind Ortanez’s pocket kings. The board bricked and Labadan was eliminated.


Koh doubles up Marzan

Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 200

Erick Marzan avoided elimination when he shoved with around 60K chips at the flop of J A 7 2 and Norbert Koh called. Koh had A 8 top pair which was behind Marzan’s A K top pair higher kicker. With the river of Q, Marzan doubled up.


Tech eliminated by big stacked Duong

Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 200

John Tech came in one of the lowest in the rung and could not improve early and immediately fell at the hands of big-stacked Ha Duong. Duong raised to 2600 pre flop, Tech shoved, Duong called, and their hole cards were revealed.

Duong: 10 10

Tech: A J

The board ran 4 Q Q 2 5. Duong survived the coin toss and Tech left the field.

Norbert Koh has just railed Choong Kon Kim making him the second player to quickly fall today.

Then they started dropping like flies…..

Ian Brion eliminated Lasse Alavi Laasksonen in a hand with Laaksonen shoving pre flop over Brion’s raise. Brion called and it was a showdown….

Laaksonen: K J

Brion: A 7

Board ran 8 3 8 7 4. Brion scooped up Laaksonen chips and just like that another fell.


Razavi sends one home in the first hand

Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 200

First casualty of the day is Giovanni Regidor who moved all in after a raise war with Sam Razavi. Razavi called and at the showdown Regidor had K K which was behind Razavi’s A A. With the board no help to Regidor, he was eliminated in just the first hand of the day.
