On the river of 5♦, the one card straight board did not deter Razavi who led for 2,100. This time it was Lim who smooth-called. Razavi revealed his 6♠ 6♣ set however it was not good enough against Lim’s 9♠ 9♦ higher set.
Rick Lera, Michael Falcon, and a player in the hijack seat engaged in a pot that we witnessed at the flop of 5♦ 9♠ 7♠. Lera began the round with a check to the hj who bet 35o. Falcon called from the cutoff seat, but when action moved back to Lera, he raised it up to a total of 1200. The hj player called, then now Faclcon got aggressive and re-raised to 2,850. Both players called. At the turn of 6♥, they all slowed down and checked to each other. Then on the river of J♦, Lera led out for 2,200, hj folded, and Falcon called. Lera won with his 7♥ 6♦ two pair against Falcon’s K♥ 9♥ pair.
Giving a little action gains Razavi some chips. It began with Razavi calling a raise by utg to 150 and both went to see a flop of J♣ 10♦ 4♣. Initial raiser then led out for 300 and Razavi called. At the turn of 8♣, Razavi again called the bettor’s 600 bet. Then on the river, both opted to check. Razavi won with his 10♥ 8♥ defeating A♠ 10♠.
Jon Costiniano kicked off the day ready for action. He raised to 250 and got two callers to join him for the flop which ran 6♦ 5♦ 3♦. Action checked to Costiniano who bet 400, got one player to fold but the bb check-called. At the turn of 10♦, bb check-called again Costiniano’s 650 bet. Then on the river of 9♣, alike previous, the bb player check-called Costiniano’s bet, this time for 1600. Costiniano won with his A♦ 10♠ for top pair.
Michael Falcon seized an early pot. It started with a limp by the cutoff man followed by a raise to 225 by the db, then a three-bet by bb Michael Falcon to 650. The cutoff called but the db opted otherwise and folded. At the flop of 4♣ 7♥ 2♥, Falcon jumped at the pot with a 1050 bet and with that he took down the pot after his opponent folded.
