APT Poker Weekend Series Main Event Champion, Gerard Bringley
Gerard Bringley eliminated Sam Razavi and claimed his first Main Event championship trophy. Bringley called Razavi’s all in pre flop and at the showdown, Bringley had 9♣ 9♦ against Razavi’s 3♣ 3♦. The board ran blanks for Razavi and it was all over.

It’s all over…. Sam Razavi saw his last hand of the Main Event. The hand began with Razavi limping in then facing a raise to 130K by Gerard Bringley. Razavi responded with a push of his 900K chips and in a snap, Bringley called.
Razavi: 3♣ 3♦
Bringley: 9♣ 9♦
With the board running J♦ 5♦ J♠ 4♦ 4♥, Razavi played the board while Bringley had two higher pairs. Razavi was eliminated in 2nd place.

Gerard Bringley continues to take chips off Sam Razavi…. Bringley limped and Razavi raised to 190K. Bringley called. With the flop of 8♠ 5♥ A♠ Razavi continued and sent out 120K. Bringley called. At the turn of 6♦, Razavi decided to slow down and check but Bringley wanted more action so he bet 250K. Razavi folded.
After the last hand, both players tangled back and forth, each one winning a small pot a few times until more action happened in this hand. It started with a raise to 120K by Sam Razavi and was called by Gerard Bringley. At the flop of 4♠ 4♥ 9♠, Bringley checked to Razavi who bet 80K. Bringley decided to bump it up to 200K and Razavi called. On the turn of 9♥, Bringley bet 255K and Razavi called. Then on the river of K♣, both checked and Bringley won with his K♦ J♦ two pair. Bringley now up to 1.7M chips.
On a board showing 9♥ 8♣ A♥, Sam Razavi bet 55K into the unraised pot and Gerard Bringley called. On the turn of J♥, they both checked. Then on the river of 7♦, Razavi slid out two orange towers amounting to 200K. Bringley called and Razavi was shipped the pot with his Q♥ 10♣ straight against Bringley’s 8-7 two pair.
The pots are now being won back and forth with both players still about even. In one hand, Gerard Bringley raised to 100K and Sam Razavi called. At the flop of 3♣ 4♠ 9♦, both checked and the dealer burned a 10♦ on the turn. Razavi checked, Bringley bet 100K again, and Razavi called. Then on the river of A♠, both checked and Bringley won with A♣ Q♦ for top pair.

Grind, grind, grind…. and then… On an unraised pot of 3♦ 7♥ 5♠, Sam Razavi bet 40K and Gerard Bringley called. The turn of 9♦ saw Razavi bet 90K, and Bringley called again. Then on the river of K♠, Razavi opted to check to Bringley who bet 145K. Razavi called and showed his 7♦ 5♦ two pair but Bringley had better with 7♠ 9♠ higher two pair.
