Gupta was looking pretty good and with the flop landing 10♦ 4♦ J♦, both players were looking at straight draws with Gupta still ahead. When the turn burned a 9♠, Angeles took the lead with a pair but Gupta still had out. With the river of 4♥, Gupta missed and was eliminated in 5th place.
Piyush Gupta earns PHP223,000 for his great finish at the Main Event.
Julian Hasse got all his 180K chips in the middle and Sam Razavi called.

With the board running A♠ 5♥ 8♦ A♥ Q♥, Hasse’s gamble was good for a double up.
Sam Razavi takes his chips back and more from Antonio Angeles in a hand that started with him raising to 50K and Angeles calling. At the flop of K♠ 8♦ 5♣, Razavi checked to Angeles who bet 25K. Razavi answered with an 88K bet, possibly signaling what he had in his hand. Angeles called and off to the turn they went. A 3♥ landed on the board and this time Razavi bet 188K. Angeles called again. Then on the river of 7♥, Razavi shoved with 342K total. Angeles called again and saw the painful blow when Razavi opened up 8♣ 8♠ for a set against the A♦ A♠ of Angeles.
Razavi now in the lead with 1.4M chips. Angeles fell to 264K.
Sam Razavi came back with another claim to a pot. He called a raise by Gerard Bringley of 50K and both went to see a board run Q♠ 6♣ 8♠. Both players checked and the dealer burned a 9♠ on the turn. Once again both checked, then on the river of J♣, action was nil and Bringley mucked while showing an ace when Razavi showed his 2♣ 2♦.
Sam Razavi limped in and Antonio Angeles raised to 50K to see a flop land 10♣ 6♠ 3♠. Razavi checked, Angeles checked, and off to the turn they went to see the 2♦land on the board. Razavi checked, Angeles bet 60K, but Razavi wanted more and bumped it up to 210K. Angeles folded and Razavi won the big pile of oranges weighing down the middle.
In a battle of the blinds, Antonio Angeles raised to 40K and Piyush Gupta called. At the flop of 10♥ 2♦ 6♣, Angeles fired out 20K but Gupta fired back for 65K. Angeles folded and Gupta was shipped the chips.
Not long after Gerard Bringley railed Calvin Tan, he won another sizable pot which began with him raising to 50K on the button. Big blind player Sam Razavi called and off to see the flop they went A♣ 2♦ 9♦. Both players checked and a 10♠ landed on the turn. Razavi checked, Bringley bet 55K, Razavi called. On the river of 6♣, Razavi checked again, Bringley laid out 65K, and Razavi paid to see Bringley’s cards. Bringley won the pot with his A♦ 10♣ two pair as Razavi mucked.
Bringley now at around 800K.
Calvin Tan’s run for the trophy has fallen short at the hands of Gerard Bringley. Tan moved all in with 4♥ 4♣ and Bringley quickly made the call with his A♦ K♣. With the board running 2♠ K♥ 5♠ A♠ 6♦, Tan was eliminated in 6th place.
Calvin Tan takes home PHP184,000 for his great finish at the Main Event.
