Angeles tough betting against Bringley

Chip leader Gerard Bringley and Antonio Angeles tangled in a pot that began with a raise of 6500 by Bringley. Action moved to Angeles who made it 19K to go. Bringley called and they went to see a flop land 2 J 5. Angeles took the reins and bet 15K which was called by Bringley. At the turn of K, Angeles was unstoppable and bet 30K. At this point, Bringley decided to give up the challenge and folded.


Bringley escalates to over 350K

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Gerard Bringley kicked off the action with a raise to 6100 only to see Alex Lee three-bet to 13,500. Bringley called and the board ran 4 8 7. Bringley checked to Lee who bet 9500. This time it was Bringley who answered back with a raise to 22,500. Lee called. At the turn of A, Bringley shoved with 136,500 which Lee called. Bringley revealed his 7 7 for a dominating set against Lee’s A K. The river of J was of no consequence because Lee was drawing dead. Bringley escalated to over 350K chips while Lee fell to around 23K.


Loon seesaws and loses some to Razavi

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Lim Yah Loon seems to be getting himself in more action but ended up having to give away chips to Sam Razavi. During the hand, both players were looking at a board of 4 8 Q. Loon checked to Razavi who bet 6400. Loon called and both went to see a turn of 6. Loon bet 8K, and Razavi smooth-called. On the river of 10, Loon reverted back to checking and Razavi bet 18,400. Loon called and saw Razavi’s 8 6 dominating full house. Loon mucked.


Loon doubles up through Duong

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

After a preflop raise war, Lim Yah Loon and Ha Duong were all in with Loon holding A A way ahead of Duong’s 7 7. With the board running A 4 10 2 10, Loon improved further to a full house was awarded a sweet double up.


Duran defends big blind against Tan

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Olivier Frederic Duran decided to defend his big blind when action folded all the way to the small blind player Calvin Tan who raised to 6K. At the flop of 8 7 2, Tan checked to Duran who bet out 8K. Tan called. At the turn of 9, Tan checked again, Duran bet 12K, and as previous Tan called. On the river of 3, both checked and Duran won with K 8 pair against Tan’s A Q.


Small pair win for Intia

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Jester Intia has won another pot. He called a raise by Geoffrey Mooney and both went to see a flop land X? 10 Q. Both checked. At the turn of 3 and river of 4, they both continued to check and Intia won with his 4 5 pair.


Chehade sends Cheng to the tank

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

On a board of 7 9 10 8, Chiu Tzu Cheng bet 10k into a pot of 29K but his bet was challenged by Georges Chehade with an all in that covered Cheng. This sent Cheng tanking for quite some time and he eventually folded while showing his Q 9 gut shot straight flush draw. Chehade took the pot.


Bringley eliminates Sia

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Eric Sia has seen his last hand of the Main Event when he shoved with his short stack and was called by Bringley. Sia showed pocket fours but was way behind Bringley’s pocket aces. The board kept Bringley in the lead the whole way and Sia was eliminated.


Hasse vs Casey

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Julian Hasse wins some off Gerald Casey in a hand that we caught at the flop of 9 6 8. Casey led for 8200 and Hasse called. At the turn of A, Casey checked to Hasse who decided to test the waters and bet 15K. Casey called. Then on the river of 10, both checked and Hasse won with his 9 8 two pair against Casey’s J 10 pair.
