Ha Duong has taken over the leader’s seat in a hand against Martin Corpuz. It began with Duong raising to 2,400 then calling a shove of 19,200 by Corpuz.
Corpuz: 10♣ 10♦
Duong: Q♣ Q♠
The board ran bricked and with that, Corpuz was out and Duong claimed a huge pile to bring him well over 150,000 chips.
Shoji Shimabukuro is the next player to find his way to the six-digit chip mark. During the hand, he raised to 2,500 and was called by the bb player. At the flop of K♠ 7♥[10s}, bb checked to Shimabukuro who bet 3,500 which was called. At the turn of 8♥, checked to Shimabukuro again which he used to bet again, this time for 6,500. Unlike previous, bb now decided to change direction and raise it up to 21,500. Shimabukuro called. Then at the river of 9♥, both checked and Shimabukuro won the big pile in the middle with his 7♣ 7♠.
Flo Campomanes moved all in for 10,700 and Raphael Gall called. Campomanes held Q♣ 9♦ which was behind Gall’s A♦ 9♥. With the board running 7♣ 2♦ 9♠ 3♦ 5♥, Campomanes was eliminated and Gall scooped up the pot.
Raphael Gall has quite a nice stack in front of him after grinding successfully against his table mates then later eliminating a player with his A-2 defeating 8-8 with the board giving him trips on his low card. In a hand against Gerard Bringley, another big stack at the table, Gall raised to 2,400 then called a three-bet raise to 5,100 by Bringley. At the flop of 9♦ Q♦ 2♦, both players cautiously checked. At the turn of 5♦, Gall bet 7,000 and Bringley called. Then on the river of A♦, Gall checked to Bringley who bet 15,000, and after tanking for some time, Gall folded. Bringley showed his K♥ as he was shipped the pot.
Brian McAllister is also on the riseā¦ well he has been slowly doing chipping up all day. In this hand he raised to 3,000 and was called by two players. The board ran 10♠ 8♥ 6♦ with action checked to McAllister who bet 7,000 which was called by both his opponents. At the turn of 7♣, checked again to McAllister who slid out 12,000 worth of chips, and this time, he was awarded the pot with both player folding. McAllister now sits with over 90,000.
Another player to cross over the six-digit chip mark is Ha Duong in a hand that railed Kosei Ichinose. Catching the action only on the river with a board of 5♥ J♦ 9♠ J♥ 4♣, Duong went all in and Ichinose called for his tournament. Duong showed A♦ A♥ and Ichinose mucked and packed to leave. Duong goes over 100,000 chips.
Gerard Bringley is climbing up the ranks. In a recent hand, he raised it up to 1,600 from under the gun and David Keyes on the small blind made the call. At the flop of 2♥ 7♥ A♣, Keyes checked to Bringley who bet 2,000 which Keyes called. On the turn of 6♦, Keyes checked to Bringley again who bet 4,500. Keyes called. Then on the river of 3♥, Keyes checked to Bringley, who didn’t change his action and bet 15,000. This time Keyes folded giving Bringley the pot. Bringley now over 110,000 chips.
Giovanni Regidor earned himself a double up in a hand against George Chehadeh that began with Regidor raising to 2,600 and finding two callers, one of whom was Chehadeh. At the flop of 8♠ 10♥ 7♥, Chehadeh bet 5,500, Regidor shoved for 21,300, and after one player folded, Chehadeh called.
Chehadeh: 8♣ 7♣ two pair
Regidor: K♣ K♥ overpair
With the turn of 2♥, Chehadeh was still ahead, but with the river of 2♠, Regidor landed a runner-runner pair that bested Chehadeh’s hand. Regidor doubled up.
