Tony Chang called an all-in of around 12,000 on a board showing 4 9 J while holding 8 9 for mid pair only to find out he was way behind a player’s K K overpair. However, luck would have it when the turn felted an 8 giving Chang the lead with two pair. With the river of 7, Chang was shipped all the chips in the middle while railing a player in the process


Tan scoops a sizable pot against Mogi

Level: 5 Blinds: 100-200 Ante: 25

On a raised pot pre flop, four players went to see a board run 9 7 3. Action checked all the way to the button, Hajime Mogi, who bet 2,400. Johnson Tan called while the rest folded. Before the turn, Tan announced a check blind. The turn landed 5 and action was now on Mogi who dropped in a 4,000 bet. Tan called. Then on the river of 6, Tan switched it up and bet 6,000, Mogi called. Tan won the hand with his 8 7 straight.


Cabaling takes some from Edoc

Lester Edoc kicked off level 5 with a raise to 700 and found three callers, one of whom was Ferlyn Cabaling, his fiancee. At the flop of 9 9 6, Edoc was second to act and laid out a 725 bet after it was checked to him. He got one caller, Cabaling, and they both went to see a turn land A. They both checked. Then on the river of J, Cabaling slid out a 1,500 bet and Edoc folded.


Sick beat by Yoon; Paulsen railed

Sick beat! Kai Paulsen got all his chips in the middle holding 8 8 on a turn board of 4 8 9 3. His opponent, Jung Ah Yoon had Q Q. Though ahead and looking to double up, the river banged a Q giving Yoon the higher set ousting Paulsen in disbelief.


Regidor scoops one with two pair

On a turn board of A K 2 7, Giovani Regidor bet 3,100 and was check-called by the lone opponent in the hand who was situated at the hijack seat. On the river of J, the hj player checked to Regidor again who sent out 3,100 which was called. Regidor won the hand with his K J two pair.


Tuan wins a good pot

Level: 4 Blinds: 100-200 Ante:

With five players in on an unraised pot, the board ran A 5 10 with the first three players in the hand checking to the cutoff Nguyen Anh Tuan who bet 600. Everyone called except one player called. At the turn of 10, action checked to Tuan once more and he now bet 2.200. This ended the hand with everyone opting to fold.


Sia ousts Liow with sweet straight

Level: 4 Blinds: 100-200 Ante:

Catching the action at the flop of A Q J, Marcuss Liow bet 1,000 and was called by Eric Sia. At the turn of K, Liow laid an even bigger bet of 4,000 and Sia called him. On the river of 2, Liow slowed to a check and Sia charged with a 5,500 bet. Liow responded with a 14,000 all in shove and Sia made the call. Liow showed A 4 for top pair but it was not good enough against Sia’s A 10 straight. Liow was eliminated.


Felix calls out Lera’s bluff

Angelo Felix takes one down against Rick Lera with a action beginning with Felix raising to 600 that was called by Lera. At the flop of 2 10 Q, both players checked to see a turn land A. Lera acted first and bet 600 which Felix smooth-called. On the river of 4, Lera led again, this time for 2,500 and Felix smooth-called once more. Felix won the pot with his A K against Lera’s 9 8 bluff.


Tuan wins toss up, rails Keyes

Level: 3 Blinds: 75-150 Ante:

Nguyen Anh Tuan could not double up as he fell at the hands of David Keyes. It began with Keyes raising to 425, answered with a 2,025 raise from Tuan, then an all-in by Keyes which was called by Tuan.

Tuan: J J

With the board running K 8 7 6 8, Keyes won the toss up and Tuan exited the field.
