Richard Marquez picks off pot from Lester Edoc

An open from Richard Marquez in late position, Lester Edoc three-bet from the small blind to 90k. A call from Marquez, the flop showed J 5 4 to which Edoc fired a continuation bet of 50k. Marquez called and both players checked it down on turn Q and river 7. Edoc showed A 4, failing to beat Marquez’ pocket nines. Marquez’ chip count climbs to the 900k mark.


Mathias Schell exits in 16th place

Niroshan Loganathan opened from the hi-jack to 35k with Mathias Schell shoving right behind with less than ten big blinds, 146k. A call from Loganathan, the board ran 7 A 10 9 2 giving Loganathan the pot to chip up to 900k. Schell exits in 16th place for Php 201,000.

Five way pot, Quoc Vu Nguyen doubles up

Hand opened with utg Dan Trett bumping it up to 24k, four players called. At the flop 7 10 J, Trett c-bet to 30k, utg+1 Niroshan Loganathan and button Quoc Vu Nguyen called. The blinds folded. On the turn 7, Trett slid out 80k, that induced a fold from Loganathan, but Nguyen went the opposite direction and shoved. Trett called.

The river 4 secured the double up for Nguyen to around 510k. Trett slipped to 500k.


Ryan Jerico Platon takes the pot

Level: 22 Blinds: 6K-12K Ante: 12k

Ryan Jerico Platon raised to 28k and both blinds called, Nicolo Valenton and Haruka Yoshimura. At the flop 10 A K, blinds checked, Platon c-bet 60k, Valenton folded, Yoshimura called. On the turn 2, Platon bet 120k, Yoshimura check-called again. On the river 10, Platon fired 175k and Yoshimura check-folded. Platon climbed to 870k.


Kang Seung Min eliminated in three way

From utg Jae Chang raised to 25k, sb Lester Edoc three-bet to 120k, bb Kang Seung Min called with less chips, back to Chang who shoved. Edoc called.

Jim Bonanno was all in with A 8 and missed the board against Moses Saquing’s 9 9. He earned Php 167,600 for 20th place.

Terry Gonzaga was all in with pocket Jacks, Lester Edoc had him dominated with pocket Queens, no help on the board for Gonzaga to take 19th place.

Short stacked Mark Ortiz lost a chunk of his chips when he double up Matthias Schell. Less than an orbit later, Ortiz was all in with K-Q dominated by Emmanuel Segismundo’s A-8. Ortiz laddered up to 18th place for Php 201,100.


Quoc Vu Nguyen plummets to 225k

Quoc Vu Nguyen and Renniel Galvez, both with heavy stacks, went at it preflop that led to Nguyen shoving to put Galvez at risk. Galvez called.

Nicolo Valenton pushes out Loganathan

Catching the action only on the river, 7 10 K 8 Q, around 150k already weighed down the middle. Niroshan Loganathan bet 105k, Nicolo Valenton raised to 220k, Loganathan folded.
