The hand began with Neo Zhi Han having opened to 12k from the hijack. Henrik Tollefsen just right behind, shoved all-in his 23 big blind stack as to which Han immediately called. The board ran 6 K 2 4 A, sending initial Day 2 chip leader Tollefsen to the rails.

Jiggy Saquing rivers Jason Lee

Level: 15 Blinds: 2.5K/5K Ante: 5K

Sitting with an already healthy stack, Jiggy Saquing opened to 10k and was met with a three-bet from Jason Lee to 30k from the button. Saquing answered with a four-bet jam for Lee’s 19 big blind stack and Lee called off with Q Q. Underdog Saquing showed 8 8 but the board ran 2 3 A A 8 eliminating Lee in 27th place. Saquing now up to 560k and ranks second in chips overall.


Dan Trett vs Nick

Level: 15 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

Mid position player Nick limped then called button player Dan Trett’s raise of 20k. At the flop Q 7 7, Trett c-bet 20k, Nick check-called. Both players checked the turn 6 and river 5. Nick showed K 10, Trett won it with a better spread with K J. Trett up to 400k, Nick dropped to 193k.


Michael Bueza saved by the river

Level: 15 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

Michael Bueza was all in with A 7, Enrico De Rosa challenged with 6 6, the board ran clean until the river Q 3 10 K A for a double up to 150k.


Thomas Ward clips Edwin Dela Cruz

Level: 15 Blinds: 2.5K/5K Ante: 5K

After getting tangled in several pots throughout, the two again went head to head to Edwin Dela Cruz’s demise. On a board of J K 5 3 8, Dela Cruz check-called off the remainder of his chips and mucked his hand after Ward revealed K 7 for top pair. Several hands later, Ward picked up another pot to drive his stack to 480k.


William Fasano scores back-to-back eliminations

Level: 15 Blinds: 2.5K/5K Ante: 5K

Having raised utg, William Fasano called off Jeorge Lagatuz’ 98k jam from the big blind with A J. Lagatuz showed Q J and the board ran 4 3 J 2 Q with Fasano making the nut-flush.

Next to go was BJ Perez who shoved his 81.5k stack from the button and was met with a call from Fasano in the big blind. Perez was ahead with 10 10 but didn’t hold against Fasano’s A 5. The board instantly favored Fasano and came 7 2 A 7 9. Fasano took down the pot and climbed to 390k in chips.


Emmanuel Segismundo chunks Mascunana to 1 BB

Level: 15 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

All in preflop, Manuel Mascunana K Q and Emmanuel Segismundo A K with just a 6k difference in stacks. The board ran J 4 Q J A for a double up to Segismundo and 1 BB behind for Mascunana.


Sumire Hori triple barrels Lee Chang Hwan

Level: 15 Blinds: 2.5K/5K Ante: 5K

Sumire Hori may be one of the short stacks at the table but it didn’t compromise her aggression. In a hand against big stacked Lee Chang Hwan, she three-bet his button raise from 11k to 33k. At the flop 3 7 10, Hori led for 22k, Lee called. On the turn 4, she pushed all in, Lee folded. Hori up to 190k.


Jose Cheung cripples John Matsuda

Level: 15 Blinds: 2.5K/5K Ante: 5K

The hand began with William Fasano raising utg to 10k and Jose Cheung calling a seat after. John Matsuda having failed to see the raise, three-bet to 21k as to which both players called. The flop ran 4 9 6 and saw a check-jam from Cheung after Matsuda bet 21k. Matsuda called-off with top pair and failed to beat Cheung’s flopped set following the turn and river 2 8. Cheung scooped up the pot and left Matsuda with two big blinds to bust shortly after to Ahmed Ibrahimi.
