Neo Zhi Han gets a full double up

On a board of 4 Q K 6 2, Neo Zhi Han was seen with all of his remaining chips of 37k in the middle. Edgar Asehan Jr tank called his river all-in and loses to Han’s flopped set of fours.

Aden Ang Kok Sin with back to back pots

Aden Ang Kok Sin is back in action having busted two spots before the money at the Main Event. He is running well here with two pots claimed back to back. The first one sent short stacked Joris Michl packing with 8 7 falling to Aden’s 8 8. On the next hand, Enrico De Rosa raised and the blinds called. The flop Q Q 4, utg+1 De Rosa c-bet 3k, sb Aden called, bb Edgar Asehan folded. The turn 5 saw no bets for a free look at the river 3. Aden led for 13.5k, De Rosa tank-called then mucked when Aden turned over Q J trips.

Aden is up to 147k. The chip leader at his table is Henrik Tollefsen with 292k.

Edgar Asehan Jr opened to 3.5k from mid position and Henrik Tollefsen defended his small blind. The flop showed J 7 Q and Tollefsen check-called Asehan’s 3k continuation bet revealed 2 for the turn. Tollefsen checked again and Asehan continued with another bet of 4.5k, only to be raised by his opponent to 18k total Asehan calls and both players checked it down when the 5 completed the board.

After one hour of play, registration to the Championships Event has closed! This added another 31 for a total of 162 entries and a guarantee smashing prize pool of Php 11,785,500. We will have the payouts once it is up on the screens.

Among the players that jumped in were Lester Edoc, Czardy Rivera, Manish Lakhotia, and Niroshan Loganathan. Newly crowned APT Main Event champion Renniel Galvez busted during the hour and re-entered. Currently leading the chase is Korea’s Lee Chang Hwan with 355k. The players have another 7 hours of scheduled play before bagging time. Good luck to all!
