Yuto Hishikawa boots two players

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

Three way all in preflop, Aleksandr Merzhvinskii A 10, Edgar Asehan A J, and big stacked Yuto Hishikawa A Q. With the board running 3 6 Q 5 K, it was sayonara for two players and a bump to 571k for Hishikawa.


David Erquiaga boots Loganathan, climbs to 630k

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

David Erquiaga was already sporting a heavy stack when we caught this hand that sent Niroshan Loganathan crashing out. From cutoff, Erquiaga raised to 10k, button called, big blind Niroshan Loganathan three-bet to 36k. Erquiaga called, button dropped out, the flop ran 10 3 5, Loganathan check-called Erquiaga’s 35k c-bet. On the turn 7, both checked. The river 3, Loganathan checked, Erquiaga fired 110k, Loganathan tanked then opted to shove it all in for an additional 87k. Erquiaga called. Loganathan had K K, Erquiaga shipped it with 5 3 full house. Loganathan busted, Erquiaga zoomed to 630k.


Christopher Pasion eliminates Widen

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

All in with Christopher Pasion A-Q dominating Thomas Widen’s A-5. No chop on the board as it ran 4-10-4-4-7.


Nick rails Ikeda

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

Catching the action at the flop with four players in, 8 3 10, big blind Dan Trett bet 12k, hijack Jason Lee called, cutoff Nick three-bet to 30k, button Tomohiro Ikeda tanked then shoved. This induced a fold from Trett and Lee, Nick called.

The turn J and river 6 ended Ikeda’s run while Nick climbed to 359k.


John Matsuda doubles up through Fasano

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

From mid position, John Matsuda raised to 8k, big blind William Fasano defended to see the flop run 2 8 3. Fasano checked, Matsuda c-bet 11k, Fasano raised, and a quick shove by Matsuda. Fasano called.

The turn 4 and river 10 completed the board for aces to hold. Matsuda doubled up to 170k, Fasano dipped to 160k.


Yuto Hishikawa scoops up back-to-back pots

Just shortly after sending Wen Peng Dai to the rails with Q 10 on a board of 8 8 2 10 against Dai’s J 9, Hishikawa picked up another pot this time against Henrik Tollefsen. An open from the initial day’s chip leader, Hishikawa three-bet to 32k and Tollefsen defended his raise. The flop came 2 J 3 and Tollefsen check-called Hishikawa’s 20k bet. The turn 2 saw Hishikawa with a hefty bet of 60k, leaving Tollefsen unable to call. Hishikawa climbs to the 400k mark and is now the Table 3 chip leader.


Lee Chang Hwan crushes the field

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

Starting Day 2 third in chips, Lee Chang Hwan is proving to be one of the toughest opponents in the field and is now sitting with more than double of what he started the day. Having defended his big blind, the flop revealed 6 7 Q. Hwan check-called a 20k continuation bet from the original raiser and saw a turn K. His opponent fired another bet and Hwan check-raised to 65k. Facing a call, the river came 8 pushing Hwan to bet 70k, two big blinds short for all his opponent’s chips. With a call, Hwan showed 6 8 and took down the 340k pot.

Lee remains to be the overall chip leader at 655k.


Thomas Ward tanks Segismundo, climbs to 280k

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

Shortly after losing some chips to table leader Moses Saquing, Thomas Ward collected a hefty pot that sent Emmanuel Segismundo tanking. Action opened utg+1 Thomas Ward raising, called by Thijs Hilberts and sb Emmanuel Segismundo. At the flop Q 7 A, Ward c-bet and was called by both. On the turn 6, Ward continued with a 42k bet, only Segismundo paid it. The river 9, Segismundo checked, Ward bet the pot of 142k, Segismundo tanked using up two time banks then folded. Ward rises back to 280k, Segismundo dipped to 205k.


Moses Saquing climbs to second in chips

Level: 14 Blinds: 2K-4K Ante: 4K

After making the Main Event final table earlier this week, Moses Saquing is attempting to make another run for the trophy this Championships Event. A three-bet from Saquing from the big blind for 29k, both Eman Segismundo and Thomas Ward called behind. The flop showed 4 6 J and Saquing sent out a 30k bet, only to which Ward called. A 9 came on the turn and Ward met another 60k bet for the river. Seeing a fold, Saquing claimed the 150k pot to climb second in chips with 430k.
