After taking some chips off Jun Mogi in an earlier hand, Yuri Odagiri proceeded to take the rest in a later meeting. The hand saw Odagiri raise to 4500 and both blinds called. At the flop A 3 K, big blind Terry Gonzaga bet 8k and was called by both opponents. On the 9 turn, everyone hung back and checked but on the 2 river, action resumed with Odagiri firing out a 35k bet. Mogi joined, putting his tournament life at risk while Gonzaga folded.

Tetsuya Tsuchikawa loses some to Andrew An

We finally caught a hand from the current leader of the APT POY race, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa however it wasn’t a successful one for him. He raised to 4500 preflop then called Andrew An’s four-bet to 11.5k. At the flop of A A J, Tsuchikawa checked, An bet 12k, and Tsuchikawa called. On the 6 turn, both checked and the river came 5. Tsuchikawa fired out 15k and An called. Tsuchikawa had A 4 trips but it was still behind An’s A 10 higher kicker.


Big pots being claimed

Dhanesh Chainani wins raise war against Andy Li Xueyan

Dhanesh Chainani and Andy Li Xueyan engaged in a preflop raise war just before their table broke. By the time we caught it, Xueyan had three-bet Chainani’s raise to 12k. Action back to Chainani who shoved his 42.2k stack. Although Xueyan had the chips to call, he tried to get a read from Chainani. The clock was called on him and he was timed out. Chainani was awarded the pot.


Gyeong Byeong Lee rails Andre and soars to 340K

Past APT Main Event champion Gyeong Byeong Lee has just soared to the leader’s seat after booting out Andre P. just moments ago. We happened to catch the action on fourth street 2 2 9 7 with over 60k already brewed in the middle. By the looks of the betting, Lee checked on his bb seat and late position Andre bet 30.5k. Lee boosted it up to make it 90k to go, which covered the rest of Andre’s stack.

After some time, Andre called for his tournament life. Lee K 2 trips and Andre with 10 10. The river 2 continued to favor Lee, improving him to quads. Lee is now up to 340k.
