After 22 rounds of late registration, the Championship Event pulled in 142 uniques and 131 re-entries for a solid 273 total entries. At IN₹ 22,000 (~US$ 300) each, the guarantee was well surpassed. The top 36 players are looking at a richer IN₹ 54.6L (~US$ 73,580) prize pool with the champion earning the lion’s share IN₹ 12.06L (~US$ 16,250) along with the APT Championship Trophy and APT Championship Ring. The APT Championship Event is underway! The first deal was just moments ago. 27 players were signed up at the start. Registration closes at the end of Level 22 which is roughly around 4.5 hours or 1130pm India time. Among the early punters were Gurupasad “fish_calling” Gupta, Raghav “thatssosick” Bansal, Laksh Pal “boomtlt23” Singh, Ritwik “Ritwikkhanna” Khanna, Vinay “vinay09” Rajpal, and Arsh “Button_Hai_Bro” Grover to mention a few.

APT Championship Event kicks of tonight at 7pm

Tonight will be sizzling with action as the featured APT Championship Event gets on stage. This is one of the tour’s top of the line tournaments and is a crowd favorite especially among players with bigger bankrolls. For a buy in of IN₹22,000 (~US$ 300), players have a chance at the IN₹ 50 Lac (~US$ 67,250) guarantee with the eventual champion bringing home the APT Championship Trophy and APT Championship Ring. This is a one day event.

Players begin with a 30,000 stack which is equivalent to 300x the opening big blind. All tables are six handed. One player to watch for is reigning champion Manish “thekid” Lakhotia who won it at the inaugural edition. The first deal is at 7pm India time with late registration open for 264 minutes (4 hours and 24 minutes). Registration closes at the end of Level 22.
