After six hours or so of action, the Championships Event has reached the money! Falling on the unfortunate bubble spot was Guneet “guntz” Kwatra booted by Anujkumar “aatmann” Kodam. The hand opened with button raise by aatmann, guntz defended on the big blind. On the flop 3 5 K, guntz check-called 10.8K. On the turn 10 guntz check-called for all his chips holding K 3 two pair, aatmann had 4 Q draw. The river J gave the flush to send guntz out without pay.

Here are the numbers and the payouts. The CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT drew 274 entries (161 uniques / 114 re-entries) at ₹ 22,000 (~US$ 300) buy in each to smash the 40 Lac guarantee. In its place, a much richer pot of ₹ 55 lakhs (~US$ 75,200). Only 36 players will walk away in the money with the champion walking away with the APT Guardian Trophy, the APT Championship Ring, and ₹ 12.15 lakhs (~US$ 16,600) richer.
