Day 2 ends with 77 players

And that’s a wrap! After 8 hours of play, Main Event Day 2 has ended. We went from 250 players plus some last minute entrants down to 77 at the end of the day.  Among the top leaders is Vietnam’s Van Ngoc Binh who shook up his table all day. The day’s entering chip leader Mai Te also fared well bagging up in the top 10.

We will have a recap for you shortly once we have the official results. For now you can read up on some of the thrilling hands we caught right here in our updates. We will be back tomorrow at 1pm as they race to the money and a seat to the Final 8. Congratulations to all the qualifiers!

Unfortunately we only caught the hand at the river betting with Van Ngoc Binh pushing all in on a board 4 8 4 3 3. He had 352.5k with just over 100k in the pot. His opponent Chul Ho Bae had more chips but couldn’t understand the shove. He tried to get a read asking Binh “why push so big? I have a big pair. Okay, big pair folds.” And Chul folded without showing. Binh shipped it and now has around 470k.
