Punnat Punsri ships another, rises to 1.35M

Punnat Punsri shipped another stack to bring the field down to 20 and his stack up to 1.35M. Matthew Chan three-bet shoved with A 2, Punsri called with K 8. The board ran 8-2-7-7-5.


Punnat Punsri rails Yang Kyung Suk, amasses 1.185m

Controversy at table 23

On a board 9 8 7 K Q, bb Chi Ying Tsai had a 50k bet out front an her cards K 9 turned over. Button Keon Yong Ma claimed he asked for a count and didn’t say call. Chi thought she heard call and showed. The rule was made, Keon was still to act, he folded. Chi claimed it and rose to 344k. The debate continued because Keon had less behind than the bet so asking for a count seemed strange.


Cheng Chao Ting rails Jaegwang Kim

The first casualty of Day 3 was Jaegwang Kim with 10 10 failing him against Cheng Chao Ting whose Q A found an ace on the window and held. We are down to 22 players. Cheng up to 475k.


Alex Lindop hits the board for a double

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

Action folded to the blinds, Shiga Mitsuhiro jammed his big stack, bb Alex Lindop joined with his short stack. Shiga 6 6, Lindop A Q, the cards ran 8 A 3 4 8. Lindop shipped it. He is at 250k. Shiga dropped to 340k.


Takao Shimizu cracks Chang’s aces to avoid the rail

Lucky break for Takao Shimizu. He three-bet jammed his 280k stack and initial raiser Carlos Chang called. Chang’s caller Neil Raine folded while giving up 17k. Shimizu A K, Chang A A, the board ran K J K 10 4 for trips to Shimizu to stay in the game and double up. Shimizu climbed to 593k, Chang dropped to 246k.


Go Mori doubles through

Another player doubled up at table 21. Next to get the boost was Go Mori. He was all in with A 10, challenged by Punnat Punsri with K J. The board ran dry with no hits for either for ace to hold. Mori up to 200k.


Ji Young Kim survives two shoves

Crippled down to 27k, Ji Young Kim was all in with J 10, got called by two players, Sera Ota and Graeme Siow. At the flop 9 7 4, Siow initiated a side pot but Ota folded. Siow 8 6, the turn 3 and river 6 secured a triple up for Kim to 85k.

Next shove she had A K doubled up by Punnat Punsri 7 7 when an ace showed up on the flop and held. Kim up to 190k.
