Jack Wu and Shiqiang Lin tangle; Go Mori busts

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Among the players at table 2, Jack En-Ching Wu and Shiqiang Lin seem to be gunning for each other’s chips. We’ve already seen both players engage in two pots and are even on the win. On this hand however, Wu landed a big pot while sending Go Mori out in the process.

Action kicked off with Wu sliding out a 9k raise and was called by both blinds Lin and Mori. At the flop 5 6 6, action was checked to Wu and he took the moment to send out 12k. Lin check-raised to 36k, Mori shoved with his remaining 36k, and Wu flat-called.

On the 8 turn, no bets came, but on the river A, Wu bet 50k for a side pot but took it back with Lin opting to fold.

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Big blind player Yang Zhang earned a nice pile of chips courtesy of the chip leader Michael Soyza and he did it with cool fashion. Action began with Soyza raising to 9k and Zhang defending on the big blind. On the flop A 6 8, Zhang checked to Soyza who slid out a small 6500 bet. Zhang called and it was off to the turn K. Zhang passed the betting to Soyza again and he obliged with a 22k bet. This time, Zhang put on the shades and smooth-called. On the 9 river, it was checked down and Zhang won with his 8 8 set.

Zhang has now doubled up his starting day stack and is at 140k.
